The Complete Euripides: Volume I: Trojan Women and Other Plays (Greek Tragedy in New Translations)

I'm acting in a new play based in ancient Athens during the age of Euripides. We discuss THE TROJAN WOMEN in the play several times, so I decided I needed to reread it. I read the beginning of several translations, and this one is by far the best. It captures, as best as a translation can, the sense of poetry. It also has a useable table of contents which is very important when using a Kindle.

The Volume I book is taller in size (8.4” height) than the other 4 volumes in the set (7.9” height). The online description of the book says 7.9” height. It’s very weird to have one volume taller than the rest of the group. Could a replacement be sent for Volume 1?

The one star refers only to the difficulty of reading the endnotes in the Kindle edition. The play is one of the greatest Greek tragedies and the translation is excellent. There are extensive and useful notes. However since there is no link between between the text and the notes--as in other Kindle editions-- the reader has to guess where to go. This is cumbersome and takes up too much time. The paper copy is much easier--if you like to read the annotations.
