Euripides II: Andromache, Hecuba, The Suppliant Women, Electra (The Complete Greek Tragedies) Paperback – April 19, 2013

I'm now retired (though not old enough to have met the playwright!) and have some more time for "remedial humanities."After taking a course in ancient Greek theater, I wanted to read these.It's a very good, readable translation that conveys the spirit of the original.If you're a Euripides fan (and I'm talking to both of you!), you'll enjoy it.

This whole collection is great, glad I purchased them all. I didn’t buy the first one through Amazon though as I got it through Online Great Books.

This is now the standard translation and maintains the line numbers for easy reference o the Greek and other translations

Quality and translations are great

A really engaging translation of Euripides. Hecuba is heart-rending even now, thousands of years later. I am amazed at how fresh and readable these works are.

this is a good choice for a class - brief, interesting introduction to each play, and a good translation.

Solid translation. Reads easily. You can visualize the play.

Easy to read. Only thing it didn't shoe page numbers. It showed how much time left to read.

Euripides is great, book was exactly as described and the translation is also easy to read and understand.

Probably the best current version, but read others for depth of processing.
