Great Lightweight Bag
This was my second sleeping bag. The first I returned because it was to small. This US Modular Patrol Bag is just what I wanted room!!! All of these are used, mine was in great condition when it arrived - no rips, loose threads, and appeared to be clean. I understand most of these are "spot" cleaned before selling. I turned mine inside out and hand washed it using Woolite and hung it outside to air dry (until it quit dripping) and then tumble dried it in the dryer (low heat) and air dried then tumble dried the bag using low heat setting. The bag while spot cleaned was not clean despite appearances (the water was brown when I washed it). I am not a clean freak but I do like to at least start with a clean bag.I slept in the bag in my bedroom with the windows open. I would guess the temp was in the low 50's or high 40's and wore a T shirt and pajamas. The bag kept me warm through the night. I also bought a "silk" liner to use with the bag. I am prepping for a Camino walk and want to make sure what take will keep me warm and is lightweight and very compressible. I have a Nelson-Rigg small compression sack and the bag compresses well.Down doesn't do well when wet. This is a synthetic filled bag which is what I wanted, something that will keep me warm even if damp. I have hiked in the Oregon 3 Sisters area, Canada, West Glacier in Montana, and other places. I would call this a 3 season bag used with a liner, not sleeping directly on the ground and wearing clothes. I will be using my to walk the Portuguese Camino in September and don't anticipate any conditions there to be concerned about with this bag.Zippers can be a nightmare on sleeping bags, snagging, being difficult, and breaking. The zippers on this bag are phenomenal, the best on any bag I've owned and I've had a number of sleeping bags some very expensive down ones and other synthetic ones and the zippers on this bag beats them all easily. This may seem trivial but trust me, when you are trying to get a bag to open or close with a stuck zipper you'll appreciate high quality zippers.I don't think you can find a better sleeping bag for the money anywhere.

Survival temp Vs. Comfort temp
Bag rolls up nicely and is not horribly huge for a synthetic. Mates with the bivy sack as its supposed to. Hanging outside in 36 degree temps with the patrol bag and the bivy I was warm and toasty. The bag sheds light moisture and the zippers are awesome. Zips from the top and the bottom, inside and out. I would recommend the bag if you are looking for a budget priced synthetic that has the ability to be paired into a sleep system down to zero degrees.*edit*After using the bag for a few months I would NOT rate this as a bag to use in the 30s. High 50s to mid 40s is the true comfort range depending on what you wear to bed. If you want to go to bed in shorts and a t this is not the bag for you. I have used this bag a lot and it has held up well. The zips are still awesome and the bag fits nicely into the space provided in my Baltoro 75. I can even stuff my rain jacket in there too if needed.

The one I got from 50caltrading seems brand new
This is exactly what I wanted. I spent 5 years in the army and I knew exactly what I was ordering so no surprises there. Whats great is it seems brand new. Even nicer than the one I got from CIF. It did smell like cat or dog pee in one spot funnily enough but I washed it with two tide pods and its good to go. Its also missing one button I noticed when putting it in my bivy. Oh well still five stars. For what I paid it was totally worth it 5/5.

Correct item plus bonus
Correct item in good condition, pairs with other items of the set appropriately. The seller, jamessurplus, even sent one of those cheap tacticool wallet card knives. Might get a couple stabs out of it before it breaks, but still free swag. The bag functions as intended within the system and is a legitimate product. I found no defects or horrible leftover odors, unlike the bivy I got from another seller.

Sleeping bag mishaps
I a m an avid camper and love the modular sleeping bags. Unfortunately, alot of the snap buttons would not work so the liner keeps moving as I sleep.

I like it and you can't beat the price
I used this bag on a bike packing trip this last weekend and have slept in it in an unheated basement for a few months. In these relatively mild conditions, it has done well. It's heavier and less compact than a down bag and not as warm. I would put it somewhere between a fleece hostile/motel bag and a much warmer and expensive entry level down bag. I like it and you can't beat the price!

Bag won't keep you warm in the 30's or 40's
Am very pleased with this patrol bag....it's very easy to get into and very cozy when everything is zippedand the drawstring is tightened around your head. It's not overly padded, but it's also very light...so you havethat trade off. I have a waterproof bivy cover on order to attach to this bag.Update: Used this bag along with the bivy cover and just about froze when temps got down intothe 40's. If you plan to use this bag in temps lower than in the 50's, do yourself a favor andbuy the cold weather bag that goes with this system. Your toes will thank you.

Top quality
$21? Government probably paid ten times that. Shout out once again to Marines selling Survival Gear. This is my third purchase from them and they are awesome!Bag appears to be brand new. Absolutely pristine. Couldn’t be happier. Love the mss system and this completes mine. This part alone will serve you well down into the 50’s. Made in America.🇺🇸 Get you one. Highly recommend.
