6/12/24/36 Color DIY Fast Non-toxic Temporary Hair Crayons Chalk Pastel Gradien Salon Kit Dye Pastel Box (24 color Hair Crayons)

Firstly, let me begin by saying this. This is chalk; so it does dry out the hair a little. After I slept with it in my hair, the strands became a bit coarse and fluffy; I had to wash my hair, so I don't see how a person might successfully wear this for three days without their hair getting a bit messy/icky, but that's just my experience. This is more of a 12 hour or less deal, and if used everyday it could dry out the hair quite a bit (as the point of powder is to be drying and chalk is just solid powder basically).Anyway, I like the color this leaves, it's pretty vibrant with a soft chalkiness to the color. It does, however, get on your hands pretty easily and when your hair with the chalk on it dries it can get some chalk dust on things. It's not advisable to touch/rub the hair once the chalk has been applied and dried. It does do the job of coloring the hair temporarily in spite of this though.My hair is a slightly dark strawberry blonde and the color goes on well without the need to apply it very heavy or use the white beforehand, and I had no troubles with staining (at least not with the colors I've used). I wouldn't recommend this for long-term wear on very light hair (like light blondes or white blondes) when using the darker colors like navy blue, black, and purple as they seem highly pigmented and could possibly stain the hair. They certainly stained my pale hands.I definitely recommend drying the hair with a flat iron or hair dryer (although this is a bit damaging to the air; so I wouldn't recommend doing this too often without a good conditioning treatment). Air drying makes it a bit clumped together and hard to brush through. My own hair is very long and flat and a bit thin, so I don't know how this would work with very textured or thick hair. I saw other products with poor reviews and put a lot of faith into this being a good product (I feel that it is, at least for my needs). I choose the 24 set because the sticks are bigger than the ones that come in the 36 pack, but I like all the colors a lot. As well, the more damp the hair the better the color seems applies, but, again, dry the section with a heating tool to help separate the strands so they don't clump together and the hair looks nice. When I brushed my hair with the chalk in it, my brush got stained, so perhaps use a junky brush or a comb that's easy to clean.

These chalks are okay. I didn't know what to expect when purchasing them, and I guess they did do what they were supposed to. I have brown hair (with lighter tips) and I used some of the brighter reds/purples as others suggested, and the color took pretty well and stayed for a full day. I'm sure the color would've stayed in longer but my hair became so dry and crunchy that I had to wash it out. The lighter tips had a tint of red for another wash after, but nothing crazy. All in all, these chalks definitely color your hair, but at the cost of softness. You might as well use kool-aid for temporary color.

I have always wanted to try a bold color on my hair, but not permanently, so I'm glad I found this hair chalk. It doesn't look as well if you have darker hair, but it's still ok. It is pretty easy to use, just make sure your hair is wet, otherwise, the chalk will make it hard and crusty.

I liked the product. I made a powder out of it to apply on hair since crayons were too hard. It did not give vivid color but if you will wet you hair color is very bright and intense. It also dries hair and giving it volume. Im satisfied with this product.

Box of colors I got was slightly different than I ordered. I particularly chose this set over others to get multiple shades of pink (item picture shows 3 pinks). The set I received only had one shade of pink. Instead I got 5 shades of yellow (versus the 3 shades of yellow shown in the picture).

Item arrived quickly and as listed. I tried out two chalks when I first got the product. They have to be very wet to work, but the color stayed in for a while. I'll be testing it out at a music festival next week!

I loved my hair chalk. Only a few colors absolutely wouldn't show up. A d after a few times of using these it deadened my hair a bit. But other than that they were great!

I am a hair dresser so i am always looking for new and exciting things to try for the girls that are daring..I love bright colors in hair even if it is temporary...But this don't cover even the lightest colored hair all it does is leave traces of color and makes the hair stiff! Defiantly not enough bright colors...Who whats grey and black and brown?
