Picture Framing, Vol. 1 (Library of Professional Picture Framing)

This book covers just about everything you need to know to get started with framing. From the basics to more in depth details. It hits things from frame shapes to conservation to paper to hanging basic items in the frame. There is even a decent section on how to store art and work items. I purchased this and the collectibles volume (#7) and decided to purchase others in the set. I am a medium ability frame maker so I did know some of the information, but enjoyed the review and found new items to learn.

Straightforward and easy to understand. All the bases are covered. I learned how to frame by reading these books (3 volumes). A must for the professional picture framer.
