I love this dye but can't find this color any more!!
I have used this color dye for over 15 years now and have found it to be great to work with. The color lasts a couple of months; my hair grows and shows the gray; the dye doesn't fade. It's so gentle on my hair. Now I can't find the color I love and am hoping Amazon will bring it back! Otherwise I have to change the shade of my hair and I'm not happy about that.If someone is doing their own hair dyeing for the first time, this is a great product to use. The instructions are very clear and it is very easy to use. I really don't want to change so I'll keep looking for this brand and color. But if I can't find it, I will still use L'Oreal and try to find the color that is closest to it.I don't know why people pay enormous amounts to have a beautician dye their hair if they just want a simple dye job. I understand it if someone wants highlights or something more complicated. But just simply dyeing hair is so easy. I was afraid myself when I first started to dye my hair and I paid the big bucks to have someone do it. But once I discovered how easy it is to do it yourself, I've never looked back.

So easy to use, good value
I've been using this dye for several years now and really like it. It's so easy to apply. I find that it lasts 5-6 weeks before I have to re-do it. The scent isn't great, smells like a beauty parlor, but it doesn't last very long and that beauty-parlor scent doesn't remain in my hair. It looks very natural. I've tried more than one color to try to match my natural color and they're all fine. This one just seems to be the closest to my real color. I do follow the recommendations to extend the time from 30 to 40 minutes for "stubborn grays" and that seems to get all the gray out.

UPDATED , NOW WITH BETTER QUALITY CONDITIONER TUBES - Defective Products, Unable to Contact Seller
(My original review about the bad conditioner tubes is below this update.) I am pleased to say that my most recent purchase contained upgraded conditioner tubes! They are a much better quality without seams, so they cannot split open! Hooray!(This is my original review). I really hate to leave a bad review, but... I buy my favorite color in a two pack, using Subscribe and Save every two months. The last three boxes I've used, the conditioner tube has split along the seam and the slightest squeeze empties the tube completely along the shower floor. I barely had time to save enough to put on my freshly-colored hair, and certainly did not have any left to use once a week as suggested.Because I buy several boxes at a time, by the time I actually use them, it is well past the 30 day period to initiate any sort of claim. And there is no way to contact the seller with my complaint. The only way I can make my unhappiness known is by leaving this review. The new conditioner tubes are cheap and crappy. Please replace them with more efficient ones. I have already lost money on the three tubes that split, plus I still have three more boxes to go through.

Loreal 7G, A lovely slightly reddish dark blond
My hair is dark blond, going white. I've used Loreal 7G, Dark Golden Blond, for over a decade now, and receive a constant and unending stream of compliments on the color, which turns out a deep reddish blond color. I first apply it to the white roots for 10 minutes, then distribute it through the rest of my hair for another 30 minutes. I love the pre-conditioner that keeps the ends of my hair from being "burnt" by the colorant, and the post-coloring conditioner is simply amazing--I wish they sold it separately. I'm a fanatic about keeping my roots touched up, so I color every five weeks, but my hair remains in good condition. My hair is quite long, but I only have to use two packages about two times a year to keep the color all the same; the rest of the time, just one package works. Loreal doesn't stint you on the amount of colorant, as some brands do. The color hold up well even if I don't invest in the "for dyed hair" shampoo. Since all my local Walmarts in Southside Indianapolis have, inexplicably, decided not to carry this color any longer, I'm forced to buy it on-line, but that's okay--I buy three packages at a time, and always have it available.

Love this color but it's been canceled
This color shows up darker at first but lightens up to beautiful golden blonde in a few weeks.

Loreal Makes the Best to Cover Gray Hair
I used to love Loreal Healthy Look semi-perm on my hair, and I wouldn't use any other product. Then they stopped making it. I went two and one-half years without coloring my hair, but got tired of it. So, I tried this product. I went with the Golden Dark Brown because I have more grey now, and I wanted a slightly lighter shade. I'm glad I didn't go with the Dark Brown, as my hair would have turned out black. Anyway, I'm delighted with the results. My hair was not dried out, and the color is really nice. Also, it was very easy to apply, and absolutely no mess at all. I'm going to see if it will last three months before I color, again. This is probably will cause the least damage to my hair. This is the best hair color product you can buy.
