This is an excuisite history of the American game of Professional Football! It’s easy reading with a lot of photographs, both color and black & white. It summarizes the history of the teams and players. I highly recommend buying this outstanding book!

The media could not be loaded. As a young NFL fan (specifically Chiefs fan) the 100 year history of the league is so intriguing. From the photography to the writing you can tell this book was well put together. In the endpapers you see pictures of great past and present players holding the golden NFL football. The chapter go by each decade starting with the founding of the American Professional Football Association to the NFL in the 2010s. In those chapters are stats of the decade (pass/rush leaders, champions, innovations, thing they’ve said hello/ goodbye to in the decade. The chapters also highlight great players of each decade along with quotes from reliable journalists.This book is great to have on your coffee table to pick up when you’re bored or for houseguests, it’s great if you have a young one trying to learn the history of the game and those who’ve made it great, and it’s great if your a collector of books (Specially sports books).This book is no way a hard read either. There’s a 0.000001 % chance you’ll find a word you’ve never heard of or have to look up in the dictionary. Beautifully written and gets to the points they’re highlighting and trying to make. If you’re a huge NFL fan get this book. If you’re a history buff get this book. If you’re one of those people who like to brag about the odd stats and facts most likely no one knows about ....GET THIS BOOK. It’s worth the money.

This is a heavy well made well-bound full of information book I bought one for my stepdad and my dad and they both love it. I would definitely recommend this book for the football lover in your family

NFL100 is a good choice for your coffee table. Sure, you can impress guests with a book showing works of Michelangelo but how many people are actually going to pick it up? Gorgeous photographs and well-written snippets focusing on the players who’ve made football America’s most popular sport make for an engaging read.I read it cover to cover but it really can be picked up on any page and enjoyed. There is sort of a hero worship mentality around players who are made to seem larger than life, but this is a publication to celebrate the NFL’s hundred year anniversary. Cutting remarks about the game’s greats would hardly be appropriate.Similarly, there is no discussion of head-injuries or CTE. But if you expect the kind of words used at a birthday party to praise the honoree then you won’t be disappointed in this narrative of the NFL’s increasing presence at the center of American culture.Tasteful, uncontroversial and focused on the players who have made the game great. A light work but a worthwhile addition to all sports fans’ libraries.
