CURT 12234 Class 2 Trailer Hitch, 1-1/4-Inch Receiver, Compatible with Select Pontiac Vibe

Mounted up well. Unfortunately the muffler is a little tight to and rattles at different times. Had to bend the muffler to keep from rattling.

Easy to install, perfect fit and well built.

Bought this for a 2003 Pontiac VibeMounted on fine but rattles against the tailpipe and muffler. I did not heed other reviewers warnings and thought my situation would be different, alas. I did remedy it by grinding the bit of hitch where it contacts but I believe there is another model that fits better. So it can work with a little effort, but then you could just get the one that fits better. Sorry I dont know the model but I can tell you this one is not it!

Already installed on Pontiac Vibe and pulling trailer. I was missing the hardware and Curt sent it out in one day so it could be installed safely. That's customer service!. Found it in the Warehouse at such a great price.

When installed on my 2003 Pontiac Vibe, works great but is too close to the muffler - makes an awful noise at certain RPMs.

When the hitch arrived it DID NOT include the ball mount as the description reads. And even more importantly, it did not include the mounting bolts. I reached out to Curt 3 TIMES on their "Contact Us" page at their website to see if they could send the missing bolts. Never received a single reply. I had no choice but to return the item due to the missing parts.

I installed this hitch without too much trouble on a Pontiac Vibe 2004. Perfect for a bike rack or to tow a very light trailer. I had to tap the holes in the frame of the car because there was some corrosion, be ready with the right tools. Unfortunately, as other reviewers have mentionned, there is not much room between the exhaust and the trailer hitch and there is a constant vibration/sound coming from the 2 hitting each other when driving. To me, having a hitch is more important but it does make the car sound much older.

Install was fairly easy after tapping out the rusty holes in the subframe. Something to note is that the muffler rattles on the centre of the receiver, otherwise have used this to pull 1200lbs with no issues yet.

This hitch receiver is the best!!! I have a 2003 Pontiac Vibe and it was the easiest hitch to install. We use it to haul a small trailer and bike rack. However it gets really close to the muffler and raddles a little bit, a really easy fix.
