Sclafani Tomato Puree, 28 Ounce (Pack of 12)

This is the thickest and most flavorful puree I have ever tried! I usually use one lg can of puree and a lg can of crushed tomatoes for a pound of pasta but with this brand all I need is this one can and some pasta water to make the same amount it is so concentrated and thick! I like that it is not acidic like other brands, no sugar was needed. It is very rich with tomato flavor. I like it better then Cento or Pomi. I was surprised and happy to have tried this when my former choice was out of stock. Give it a try you will be surprised! Their other tomato products are equally great too!

I am a home kitchen chef and love Scalfani line of tomato products. I even did an open can test up against , Pantene, Cento, Hunts, Tuttoroso, RedPack, Progresso and Contadina, every one picked Scalafini . Give a best 10….

I have not used item yet. but I was very disappointed that 8 of 12 cans were delivered dented :(

Very thick sweet sauce, if you normally add sugar to your sauce, I suggest you refrain from doing so with this one.Quite a good sauce….

Product is good but you will not find an expiration date anywhere. There are a bunch of numbers but no dates. I can't buy in the future as a result

I need to tweak my recipe a bit with the low sodium. Add a bit more oregano I think, but using my normal recipe with thisPurée makes a better sauce than most and sure helps reduce the sodium. Just not quite perfect Yet
