Continental Electric CP43569 Platinum Series 3-in-1 Grill, Waffle and Sandwich Maker

At first, when I unpacked the product, I thought it was rather flimsy. However, it works very well and makes excellent grilled sandwiches.The fact that the plates are removable makes cleaning them very easy.I do wish that the manufacturer would indicate if the grilling plates are dishwasher safe, but other than that, I rank this product very highly

For the price is is Good.Not designed for heavy use. Lack of temperature control turned out not to be a problem. The interchangeable plates make it very functional.Overall, I like it, but it could be made of stronger material.

It makes the best toast and grilled cheese sandwiches and chicken sandwiches.

I was reading the instructions prior to using grill.When I snapped the closure thingy, my finger was pinched between the top and bottom of the grill.It was pretty nasty and I chalked it up to my stupidity but a little warning in the directions might have been helpful. I'll be careful to warn anyone else who might use it. It's been a couple of weeks and I still have a sore finger and a mark from the pinch. I would not recommend this item.

I received one of these for Christmas. At first, I thought, wow, genius, you can switch out the plates depending upon what you want to make. So, right off the bat, I make waffles. Well, the plates never really heat well enough, so the waffles were pretty soggy. Sandwiches? Well, so-so. As long as you do not need very high heat. I also grilled a piece of chicken, now that worked out well. I took it out to use it for a fourth time...Dead. Will not heat. The really sad thing is I threw out an old waffle maker, AND I threw out an old grill to save space. Now I have to re purchase each one. Needless to say, I will never purchase anything that has the words: "Continental Electric".

I picked this up at my local grocery store b/c I was looking for a waffle maker & thought the additional options would be a good thing. I made the sandwiches for my kids - they looked like someone sat on them, & the filling (cheese) ran all over, burning on the edges. I have tried waffles about 5 times, with different recipes. They take forever (and there's no beep to tell you when they're done), and always come out soggy. It seems as if the machine doesn't let out enough steam, there's always a lot of condensation inside. I didn't bother with the grill option. I'm so disappointed & now have to look for a decent waffle maker.

I had the same experiece as others in here. We needed a waffle maker and the 3 in one option sounded grear. Once at home we tried it for breakfast and it was pretty bad at making waffles. They were soft and that is not how you want a waffle. The sandwich maker is just ok
