Incredible knife!
I really enjoy it! It comes out the box hair popping sharp. It has amazing edge retention, and I like the powder coated finish and color. It is lightweight, and a really useful size! The blade profile is very well thought out and functional for a large multitude of tasks. The retaining sheath is a nice carbon fiberish crosshatch look and texture and is manufactured very well. The knife snaps into place very securely, and I estimate that it wouldn't fall out even if you were kicked by mule while wearing it. It's everything you'd want in a neck knife, and also is fantastic for skinning small game! Good job, Esee!

Nice little knife!
This knife arrived promptly and was exactly what I was on the market for...a neck knife with multiple carry options sporting high quality steel and a razor edge. Put a checkmark on all those boxes and more! Let me tell you this little thing was shavin the hair off my arm right out of the packaging. It is lightweight but extremely stout. The handle is a bit small but its compact size is exactly why I bought the knife. When wrapped with paracord, the handle becomes very comfortable and the little knot on the end keeps my pinky finger from sliding off the bottom. The paracord could then be used for lashing to a longer pole to make a spear that I wouldn't want to be standing at the wrong end of! It does come in a version with a half inch longer handle, but I don't need that and I wear an XL glove. Its a perfect companion to my Tops Anaconda which sports a 9.5 in blade, (great for chopping and other heavy work, but not much of a whittler). The sheath is very tight at first but after playing with it, (taking the knife in and out of it), for about 10 minutes the blade comes out rather smoothly yet still holds it very secure in the inverted position. You just have to hold the sheath with your thumb as you draw the knife to accomplish this task with one hand. The blade comes with instructions on how to wrap the handle and use all the gadgets that come with it if you opt for the kit which I thought to be pretty handy. I especially liked the trap trigger detail using the different sized key rings. With a proper lanyard this is one sexy little knife that I'll never go in the woods without!

Wonderful EDC Neck Knife.
I wanted a light weight neck knife that could be easily used without having to take the entire necklace off; this Izula fits this bill. With one hand I can unsheath it. It's always there, at the ready. NICE! Its original sheath is quality & has a strong hold on the knife; no rattle.I have medium hands & this original sized Izula is a hair on the petite size, but it's fine. A bigger knife would be too heavy to wear every day. Besides, it's a knife that your index finger naturally rests on the top of the blade, & this gives all your other digits a place on the handle. I can imagine this blade would be an excellent hunting & skinning knife for this reason & it's large bellied cutting edge. The tiny micarda handle scales are ordered separately. Initially I ordered them from a seller called Prime Valley on Amazon. After waiting 7 days I checked my oder & Prime Valley had not even shipped my handle scales out! I was fed-up & cancelled the order, & was forced to order them through a knife dealer's website. ****So, do NOT give Prime Valley your hard earned $.These Esee micarda scales only come in an off white color that they call "green" for some reason. However, this neutral color lends itself well to leather dying them any color that you want. I chose black so the knife would be less noticeable, since it hangs on paracord around my neck. The dying was super fast & easy, the micarda soaks it up & doesn't leave residue on one's hands. It's permanent. So, yes. I highly recommend this sweet little blade & the micarda scales! 5🌟1yr update: I still edc this knife. It's so handy to have a good blade that's super easy to unsheath with one hand. Prior to this Izula I wore a Benchmade North Fork folder for years around my neck, another great if not better knife, but I hardly used it because I had to pull the paracord necklace that it was on completely off my head to cut with it. This is why I replaced it with this Izula. It's so easy & quick to use.I have to sharpen the Izula more. Reality, to keep a razor sharp edge on it, have a leather belt handy to strop it on daily. Or, get a little field all in one sharper for it. ( These hand sized sharpeners have everything in one pocket-sized device; 2 diamond plates, ceramic rods & a leather strip. Every 2 weeks or so, I have to tune up the edge on my Izula. Not a big deal.)The oxide coating has worn thin or completely off on heavily used areas of my knife. However, no rust has set in, which says a lot for this carbon steel Rowen metal, because I don't oil it after every use. ( Since I food prep with it a lot, it usually gets a light coating of butter or olive oil every 2wks & that's been enough to keep it protected.)I miss my Benchmade, but the great ease of use & handiness keeps the Benchmade in storage, while the little Izula is at the ready on my chest as my continued edc.

quite possibly the perfect edc fixed blade
great EDC blade. size is a good compromise between discrete and useful. great control in multiple situations. this is my second one and the desert earth color is great (first one was black). no second looks using it in public as the appearance says “tool” more than “weapon” and. like all esee knives if i need to use it i dont have to worry about it due to their lifetime no questions asked warranty. super tough and easy to put a razor sharp edge on it. Its not stainless but if knife maintenance is part of your EDC routine (why wouldn’t it be) its not an issue. Sheath pictured is not the stock one but an Armatus. Not cheap but greatly expands carry options from stock.

Love the S35VN
Have this blade in carbon but very happy with the S35VN. Very sharp and sleek with no grip. Did a 550 wrap and perfect for edc.

Good little knife
This is a good little knife, perfect for everyday carry, light weight and durable. Comes razor sharp and is easy to sharpen. It’s a little tough to grip without scales added to the handle, also very hard to take out of sheath without scales installed on the handle. The knife fits almost too tight in the sheath. Takes a little bit of time for the sheath to loosen up, but the sheath is good quality durable plastic. Would prefer kydex , but for the price of the knife it’s a good value. I definitely recommend buying scales for the handle, there are a lot of options out there.

Great as a boot knife
Comes with a clip that let me easily attach it to my boot. I definitely recommend using their instructions to wrap the handle with paracord for extra grip.
