Schlage M540-051, Follower Tool, Plastic

a must have as tools included with most kits are junk

I've seen some people use a 1/2" wood dowel but this wasn't expensive and I have a few locks to re-pin. My first attempt was a massive, total failure (no fault of the tool, just the user). But once I got the hang of it, this tool works great.

This tool worked perfectly to allow me to rekey my schlage lock. I am only giving it 4 Stars due to the fact the item had some excess flashing from the manufacturing process which i needed to sand off prior to use

Key item when rekeying locks and the kit I used did not come with a good one. This follower worked great

Works great. Great replacement for follower I had made myself.

Pretty solid little tool. It works well being plastic, I don't feel like I am going to mark up the inside of the cylinder.

Not much to say about this, I have had better quality ones that were heavier and felt more “ substantial “ but this one did the job and I feel it’s a good value if you are a hobbiest rekeying Schlage cylinders

Will wear out quickly

Works great l had one before, last one was about $3 though lol
