This was a good heavy and durable cable
This was a good heavy and durable cable. I had zero problems with it. I even bought the same item in another color for my father to run in his house and he had never done any networking before in his life. He too had zero problems with it. I ran some iperf tests and I was limited by the speed of the network adapters in the machines that I used. I was pulling about 950Mb/s in and out of a raspberry pi, through a switch, then a router, then over to another machine. If the NICs and the switches were updated to 10GBE support, I'd probably hit close to the mark.BTW, if you're thinking of running cat5/6 for the first time, don't use one of the $30-$70 analog toners. Go pick up this tool: "Klein Tools VDV501-823 VDV Scout Pro 2 Tester Kit." It's about $80. It's not analog. You put a dummy load with a resistor into one end on a patch panel or the keystone-jack (any direction that suits you) and then you can validate that you're on the correct wire-run along with validating that the twisted pairs are correct with the connections properly punched (continuity test). If you're a pro, you probably already have a fluke digital toner so it doesn't matter. Everyone else, save your money, this does two tests simultaneously: it validates your wire terminations and it helps you map/validate all of your ports from the wall to a patch panel. Handy.

I wouldn't use it for PoE but I wired my house with it!
I have an older home and did 16 drops with this cable with a maximum approximate length of 30 meters. I say approximate as I measured by doing the whole end of arm to end of arm measurement and guesstimated about 90 feet then added 1 more full end of arm to end of arm so it may be more than 30 meters.I did full testing both with a tester and using the LAN speed test utility between 2 machines. Everything worked well. I'll have to see how it holds up, but as my network will be mostly used for my Plex server and some gaming, I don't expect to tax it much.An electrician friend of mine told me to not use it for PoE. So I would recommend the same.

Get this and not the "Copper-Covered Aluminum" (CCA) fake CAT-6 wire stock
This is copper-based wiring with excellent shielding. You need to pay more to get the quality materials, you cannot just go with the lowest-cost wiring. The quality difference is clear when you compare this against (bogus) "CAT-6" that is actually made of CCA (copper-covered aluminum) instead of pure copper -- CCA is the cheap stuff they sell you when you think you're buying CAT-6 but you're not. Replacing the wiring in the house with this has made a big difference in my wired computer speeds especially when I have longer runs or they run near existing electrical blocks or conduits in the structure of the house. I have about 16 computers and 8 Android phone/tablet devices, and the more wireless devices you add, the more you need this wiring for your wired machines. A++

Cable is OK, Crimp tool is horrible
3 stars because the cable itself is decent for the price, not great quality but it is OK for a CAT6.The main issue is you can't use the crimp tool provided with this product so be prepared to buy a better one which is at least $18.The plugs are not supposed to be used with a CAT6, these are the one piece plugs which are rated for Cat5/5e not CAT6.Actually I was ready to return this product after making 5 cables that didn't work. Finally I looked at the rj45 plug and noticed that none of them was crimped correctly, I tried again to watch how this tool crimp and there was no way to make it crimp all 8 wires. Went and bought a Klein ratcheting crimp and it worked perfectly even with provided plugs.I am sure most people who gave this a good rating used their own crimp tool!

My first bulk Ethernet purchase
Although I don't have any experience with many other bulk cables, I really like this one. I love how now I can cut wires to exact size, non more non less. I guess most of the things I love about this product are more aimed towards bulk cable in general and not specifically this Aurum cables product so I'll leave them out.ProsComes with cable ties, crimp connectors, stress relief boots, and a crimper!! (or at least mine did)ConsNon noticed so far, I guess the fact that my particular box has the wire coming out of the bottom as apposed to the image from the post where it it leading out of the top... I'll survive.

Easy to punch down and so far very reliable
Used a little over a half of the box so far and it has been a breeze to use. Hangs a little every once in while coming out the box, but that's just a minor inconvenience when working alone. Easy to punch down and so far very reliable.

Great CAT6 cable
Very easy to use for the backbone of a small network. I haven't tried using it with RJ45 ends yet but it works very well with keystone jacks. The quality of the cable seems very good. I would recommend this cable to others.

A very good deal
Is this the best Cat6 cable you can buy? No it isn't. But is actually better quality than some well known supply house brands I've purchased in the past for twice the money. It has the proper "X" shaped pair separator strip, and the footage is marked on the jacket every 5 feet (counting up rather than down). That makes it a great deal even if you got nothing but a box of cable. However you also get a fairly decent set of crimpers, a bag of RJ45 connectors (mine did have 100) and a modest bag of zip ties - easily worth another $20
