This was a gift to my Aunt. She had seen a Blackbird in Europe. Said it was her favorite plane. She was very happy with it.

Aircraft is not mislabeled! Excellent model!
First I’ll say, the detailing and quality are great for the price, what I’ve come to expect from the postage stamp collection.A review near the top of the list mentions this model is a repainted duplicate of their SR-71 model. This isn’t an error; the YF-12 with this exact tail number was secretly an SR-71 being disguised as a similar aircraft! This is honestly an awesome detail for the manufacturer to include.Amazing model that showcases a little bit of aviation history if you look a little closer!

I'm Sure Daron Knows Better . . . .
An outstanding model from the Daron "Postage Stamp Collection, as usual. The issue is that it's not what it's claimed to be.The YF-12 and the SR-71 are different planes. Very similar, yes, but while externally similar they are not the same.This is Daron's previously released SR-71 model, probably deserving five stars in its own right, just with a few different stickers It does NOT represent any variation of the A-12.It looks very nice on its (included) display stand. If you -- or anyone viewing it -- doesn't know the difference, doesn't care about the difference, or doesn't have Col. (USA Ret.) Richard Graham's definitive Blackbird book with a detailed plane by plane description, I'm sure it will look very nice on your desk or shelf.I'm sure it was very easy for Daron to produce; it's just their existing SR-71 model with different stickers. Cheap, just not what it's claimed to be. For me, having bought it and expecting a model of a YF-12, that's worth the two-star deduction.

Good product
Bought for my Grandson's 13th birthday. Have already bought four or five for him. He's in the Civil Air Patrol and wants to be a fighter pilot in the Air Force.
