Be careful with Quick Charge chargers
This is a quality cable. It's easy to use, flexible, and connectors are solid. I wish the microUSB end was shaped such that you could tell which side was which in the dark (it is pleasingly symmetrical, but that doesn't help you find the right orientation.Keep in mind what I just learned--these cables WILL NOT negotiate Quick Charge 2.0 or 3.0 charging with supported phones and chargers. You need a cable with data leads for that. The equivalent PortaPow cable (green ends) works great in these situations. What this means is that for Quick Charge compatible devices (most high-end Android devices released in the past two years) you may not get the fastest charging speed using these cables with a Quick Charge charger. In fact, you may get slower charging from a Quick Charge charger than you would plugging into a "dumb" 2A USB charger. The green PortaPow cables may not work the best in non-Quick Charge 2A USB chargers--this will depend on how it does charge negotiation with shorted data pins.Short answer--these cables are probably the best for plugging into non-Quick Charge USB chargers up to 2A of output current. For Quick Charge chargers use the power and data cables (green PortaPow).

BEWARE if using this with an Anker PowerDrive 2 adapter
This is a "charge only" cable and, according to Anker, this cable should only be used when charging your phone from a computer because it blocks data transfer as a security measure. When charging from an Anker PowerDrive 2, according to Anker, this cable causes the phone to charge more slowly than a standard charge and data cable because the adapter is expecting a charge and data cable and is designed to function better and faster with one. Anker recommended the improved Anker cable model A7115091. Search Amazon using this number. When using this PortaPow cable and the Anker PowerDrive 2 to charge my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 phone with GPS, Waze and Bluetooth all running, the phone used more power than these two charging items could provide (65% charge down to 20% charge in less than 3 hours). In all fairness, the PortaPow cable appeared to be very well made and I would recommend it for all charge only applications.

Great for flyers
This is really handy for use on airplanes with USB plugs. Last time I flew I wanted to juice up my Kindle reader, but as soon as I plugged it in, the Kindle went into USB connection mode and there was no way to exit and keep reading!I haven't yet tried this on a plane, but I did just try it to plug my Kindle into my PC, and my Kindle is happily charging and it is NOT in USB mode.I'm going to make sure I keep this cable in my travel kit.

I tried to like this cable but the sad fact is that I will be replacing it. Five stars for the solid quality. It is well built. The problem is the mini usb connector is too tall and blocky. It as taller than my Galaxy Note 4. So it will not stay plugged in because it presses into the phone case. The case has a thin overlap about the size of the bezeled edge as it should for protection. So this cable will fall out if the air conditioner blows too hard or the phone shifts even slightly . The quality is great, but it isn't functional for media . 3 stars. Reduce the height of the plastic block so that it isn't 3x the height of the mini usb connector itself and 5 stars.

Fixed my Honda Accord's unwillingness to charge my Galaxy S5 – excellent product
For two years, I haven't been able to charge my Samsung Galaxy S5 in my Honda Accord. The car's USB port is designed only for iPhones or something, and has never been willing to even charge my S5, much less play music from it.It took me a while, but I eventually discovered that specially configured "charge-only" Micro-USB cables might solve the problem. I bought the PortaPow here and have had it for a week, and man it is awesome. I feel like I've returned to civilization, can actually go on long trips without my phone's battery dying.I don't have precise numbers yet, but I will say that it's a fast charger – it seems to be as fast as my normal in-home wall charger. The funny thing is that I just upgraded to the Galaxy S7, and I bought an Aukey Quick Charge 2.0 enabled car charger because the S7 supports Quick Charge 2.0. I haven't tried the Aukey yet, but I've used the PortaPow cable on the new S7 and it's fast enough that I'm not sure I need the Aukey. At some point, I'll measure and compare their charging speeds and add it to this post.

Failing after 16 months of use
Worked fine for about a year, but recently, the microUSB end is failing to connect to my devices. I have to play with how it fits in before the device will charge, and of course it will lose connection. I'm going to try a replacement to see if it holds up better, but so far, I'm not totally impressed.Having said that, a charge-only cable is nice to have for untrusted USB ports to charge from, plus the cable itself is nice and flexible for easy storage. I also like the distinctive red ends to quickly pick out if you want to just charge or transfer data as well.

Works great if you need full voltage!!!!!
I picked this up because it was a charge only cable and we have Samsung galaxy products that wont charge at full capacity. Im a little disappointed in a company that makes software on there product that recognize if its a official cable. If its not it will dumb down the the voltage on purpose when in reality there is no differences in micro USB cables. The main purpose was to have it for charging in my jeep. I have a Scosche dual 10 watt (2.1A) USB car charger that I bought it for. The answer is yes it will work and it will not pop up the standard "please plug in the original charger". I used it on a Samsung Galaxy Tab4 while using the GPS and it full charged. It will not do this with a standard cable.Overall if you need to get a full charge and don't need to use the data side of the cable then this will work for you. If you need the data as well then stick to over paying for official Samsung products.Positive+Full potential charging voltageCheapNegatives-No data can be used

Connecters are too short.
I have several of these and they fastest charging cables I have used bar none. They do have have one real flaw though. This is that small microUSB connection is easily dislodged and can disconnect charging from most phones or power banks. The reason is that microUSB connection is 1 to 1 1/2mm shorter than usual so it doesn't snap securely into the devise. This is quite a let down when you return to your device to find it has stopped charging because the cable has been dislodged. This can easily be fixed if they make their new stock with a very slightly longer connection on the microUSB end after which I would give these 5 Stars and a 100% recommation. Charging is the fastest you will get with these cables just make sure that what they are connected to remains absolutely still until charging is complete.

Works for me just as described, had difficulty charging a smartphone from a decent quality car charger using a standard cable, this one works just fine. Tried with Nexus 7 tablet on the standard charger and once again seemed to cut charge time. Seems well made, tough cable sheath and not too stiff. Red plug ends stop you mixing up with other similar cables charge/data sync cables. Only used a couple of times so far but would recommend if you need a charge only cable.

Perfect. Exactly what I have been searching for
Perfect. Exactly what I have been searching for. I needed a micro USB cable to charge my android phone from car USB port WITHOUT data syncing. This Portapow cable did the trick. Well packaged and seems to charge phone quicker. Quality product with good value for money.

Excellent like ronsil...does what it says
Brilliant product does exactly what it's advertised to do. Get full charge in under a hour from less than 20%( using a phone with quick charge 2.0 set on power saving mode through out charging). Well made at least so far it has withstood day to day use. Recommend stop wasting money on cheap cable's. This is the one even if your device isn't quick charge certified it will maximise the amount of charge your device is able to use

Quick charge in my car, better than official cable
Have been struggling to find a cable that would quickly charge my Samsung Galaxy S7 edge in my car. I had bought a more powerful USB socket for cigarette lighter, but the standard Samsung cable was still charging my phone slowly. When using satnav/playing music through my phone, the official Samsung cable would only hold the battery, and in some cases it would start to trickle down slowly.Since this cable has arrived, I can use Satnav/Spotify/TomTom apps all together and the battery still charges quickly.
