Great seeds!
I bought these as an experiment-- my back yard has pretty much been a hodge-podge of crabgrass, weeds, and junk. We have a large back yard (1/3 acre), and while our front yard is really nice zoysia sod, well tended and pristine-- I really didn't want to go thru the hassle and expense of putting sod in my back yard, which is fenced in, private and pretty much just used by my wife and I to look at and enjoy. The grandkids come over from time to time, but we have no one we need to impress other than ourselves.So.... I bought these seeds, and gently scattered them in my backyard. And crossed my fingers.I planted in early Spring (in north Georgia) and it took ten days for the seeds to slowly germinate and turn into small clover seeds. My experiment was to simply cast the seed on my bald and bare spots (I had two large areas), then cover those seeded spots with some topsoil and wheat straw from Home Depot. I then cast this seed in the areas of my yard where there is last year's dead grass that would (hopefully) protect the clover. And it worked! So here I am about a month into the project, and the seeds are coming up nicely-- almost all of the seeds (it appears to be about 90%) have germinated (hooray), and these are SLOWLY growing up and out-- even though the weather is still not very warm just yet. The first areas I planted are already solid green-- and are even starting to flower a bit. The other areas are now sprouting and starting to grow. The only fertilizer I used was the topsoil-- although I will be fertilizing these shortly, since they're doing so well.SEEDING: These seeds they send are tiny-- very tiny- and because my yard was so big, I worked in sections to gently scatter the seeds, widely disbursing by hand. Otherwise, I'd have run out of seeds in no time. The wide scattering by hand has worked very well. When I first received the 20-pound bags (I bought two bags), I was worried that I would run out of seed, since I have almost 1/3 of an acre to cover. I probably will have to buy a third bag when it's all said and done, but that's no big deal. But if you're used to seeding using a hand seeder, you may want to re-consider. I've scattered lots of fescue seed over the years, but this stuff is different. Some people recommend you mix these seeds with sand and seed that way-- myself, since the seeds are tiny but white, I simply eyeballed it and scattered by hand. (Make sure your hands are dry when you start, of course.)WHITE CLOVER?I doing some reading ahead of time on white clover, I found that white clover grows shorter than red clover, that it generally germinates and grows well year-round, and that all clovers add nitrogen to poorer soils. I decided on white clover because it's hardy and because it's shorter than red clover. I'll let you decide if it's right for you.QUALITYThese are excellent quality seeds-- I have had an extremely high germination rate-- and the company I ordered from shipped them quickly, and packaged them well. They came in a plastic bag-- nicely packaged, well labeled.I'm delighted to give this a five star review. I'm delighted.

Very high sprout rate, good coverage, good value for money.
I use clover in my lawn to increase green, but also to draw pollinators to the garden. Have been using plain white clover seed with mixed results. Tried this one and it looks like pretty much every seed sprouted to clover, unlike prior attempts requiring multiple applications.Spread it very lightly on a couple of the wet spring snows, and now have clover everywhere that is growing vigorously with some flowering already.Has a white dusty appearance, but spreads easily with any fertilizer/seed spreader or even by hand...but use less than you would plain seed.

Not even 1
I laid the seed a week ago, and because its been dryer this year, have been hand watering daily.... not even one has grown. Very disapointed.

High germination rate!
I purchased this seed to grow a cover crop for my garden. This stuff sprouted up quickly and it seems that the germination rate is very high (probably 98% or higher). I will definitely purchase this stuff again when needed.

You might get shorted?
Weighed my 15# bag on bathroom digital scale and came to 14.6#.......had 4 bags shipped and shipping sticker said 60# not 61 or 62# which should have been including large heavy duty cardboard box the 4 bags came in. I have been going to take a bag to store with "certified" scale at the meat counter and see if I have 15# or was shorted .4# per bag???

Sadly the germination rate on this batch was very poor. Had great success with the same product bought ...
Sadly the germination rate on this batch was very poor. Had great success with the same product bought elsewhere so I don't think it was an application issue.
