Voltec 08-00629 10W Cob LED 1200 Lumen Work Light, 2-Pack

This light was great, although a touch heavy, which made it difficult to balance in some places of an engine bay, etc. My big issue with it is that after about 4 weeks, and only a few uses (nowhere near the stated bulb life), it simply stopped working. There was no indication of it about to fail, it just didn't work one day when I tried to turn it on. So, being a rule follower, I clicked on the "Manufacturer Warranty" link, which sent me to an email address to request information from Amazon. Amazon replied that I had to contact the manufacurer, which I did. The manufacturer said I had to contact Amazon, and this was after the 30 day return period. I have bought a few extrememly cheap items before, like magnetic LEDs from Harbor Freight, and fully expect them to only work for a short while, but they're extrememly innexpensive, so as long as they fill my needs for that short period great, that's all I was expecting. When I spend a not insignificant amount (at least not inexpensive compared to other similar products), I expect the product to either work as described or be replaced/repaird easily. This is definieitly not the case here. So, long story short, I will from here out avoid all Voltec products.

As you can see from the photo, the light burned! Of course this happened 3 days after the return window closed. I believe this product is dangerous and should not be sold. It's a miracle it didn't burn the garage down.

Forget about the lights that look like an ice cube tray full of LEDs, this bitch here is great! This thing works like none other I have ever seen! This was one smart and well worth purchase.

This this in AWESOME. I'm back here to buy another because I'm so impressed. Bright as all get out. Magnet mount works well; it's stuck to a vent duct in the photo.Update 09/15/2018, after 3 months of ownership: BURNED OUT. DEFINITELY didn't even come close to the bulb lifespan.

I've previously purchased a similar light to use when working underneath cars. I had misplaced the first one I bought and decided on this particular unit. Weeks later I found my old one and decided to compare the two.The Voltec unit (as I suspect all now do) uses LEDs which made it 10x brighter than my first purchase. Where I think the unit really stands out is the fact that it has a magnetic plate on its back side. It is such a nice touch when working to be able to have this held up without having to find an area to hang or hook it to.There were at least three occasions where I used it and because of my clumsiness I knocked it from where it was mounted. Each time it fell I was pretty sure I had busted the unit, but to my surprise it came back on every single time! In the durability department, this thing gets an A+. It also has an extra outlet on the bottom of the unit if you need to power something else by you on.Cons:- The yellow likes to show any dirt or grease if you happen to be working around oils. I haven't been able to scrub mine clean, but that isn't really a con. Just a though for anyone who might be OCD

Wishing I had bought this years ago, 100 times better than the shop/trouble lights I've used in the past. The high power magnet on the back is super handy to snap to the bottom of a metal hood, inner fender, etc to hold the light in place. Seems durable, I've already dropped it several times. Lights up the area great even when I have the shop door open and there is lots of daylight coming in (see attached picture)

I installed this on a reel light to replace the worn out fixture. It'd plenty bright enough. My only beefs so far are: The lens is not real scuff proof. It has gotten scuffed up while positioning the light in a difficult location. The magnet on the back holds well enough, but is unprotected, so I wouldn't stick it to painted surfaces, etc. And for some reason, the magnet is hard to clean off. A lot of loose metal, rust, etc will stick to it. Neither is a deal breaker and I would buy again.

I bought this light and was surprised at how bright it really is.. The magnet on the back of it is super strong.. The hook folds into the body which is a good idea but i have had this same type of hook break on me after it sits out in the sun a bit and picks up some rays. The light does have a outlet on the side near the bottom for it. I always like that becuase I can plug the bigger LED light that i use into that or vice versa. I think they are a bit stingy with the length of the cord . I would rather pay a couple bucks more then to deal with a light that has a six foot cord instead of a 8 ft or 12 ft. If they improve the hook so i know it will last and lengthen the cord I think they would have pretty much what i desire in a automotive lamp. That cheap plastic hook will break easily..Hang it under your hood or whatever and then slip with a wrench and accidently catch that light with your hand and your super brite lite is now unable to be attached to anything except with the magnet that is i thought way too strong. Its strong enough for ten of those lights..The hook is the thing that will catch the stress.. and so will the cord. Pull it while working underneath a car and the 5 ft cord or whatever the length is turns out to be more of a problem then what your working on. Its obvious that whoever designs these things doesnt use them. For the money I still think its a good light. That LED is super bright and it comes in handy. Best part about it is its not hot.. no burns on the hand...and its pretty durable you can drop it and it and it holds up.
