Leather Cowboy Hat for Men Women Lightweight Handcrafted Western Shapeable Wide Brim Durable Cowgirl Outback Hat

I've been looking for a leather cowboy style hat but not necessarily in a cowboy format...more along the lines of an Aussie outback like Crocodile Dundee or one like Indiana Jones style. Surfing the lightening deals this one popped up for about $31...Leather, made in the Australia and NOT made in CHINA. It's 100% , all leather, and I couldn't hit the buy button quick enough. So I paid for it and sat by the window waiting for the UPS truck to arrive...I was like a little kid on Christmas eve wanting to see Santa Clause. The hat arrived in the amazing two day Amazon delivery time., which still blows my mind how they do that...Anyhow the box arrives and I open it up remove the hat from the plastic bag and I am immediately blown away by not only the appearance and style but by the superb quality and workmanship of this fantastic hat. Now, I am known to be real fussy and anal about things albeit buying or even building things myself, but I just found competition. The hat is what I could only say as perfection in quality and workmanship. It is made by CB Hats of Australia and is hand made. The company has been in business since 1969.. This hat is so well made and the stitching is absolutely perfect, no wavering or stitching running here and there. Inside the hat in the forehead area is a smoothed almost saddle like piece of leather that the forehead rest against, a well thought out design. There are three vent holes on either side of the hat that allow for air movement/venting. Theses holes have brass like rings to add to the beauty and quality of this hat. The chin draw string is a stretchable cord which can easily be removed if one chooses to do so. On the outside of the hat around the brim is the famous signature accessory to the hat, the leather woven laced dressing that really makes this hat stand out and be identified as an Outback Aussie hat. I tried to measure my head circumference to make sure I ordered the right size. A little tough doing it using a yard stick so I opted for the ole use a piece of string thing..lol. I came up with about 23--1/2" which equated to an XL size hat, so that is what I ordered. It is just a little on the tight size but since it is leather and after breaking in should fit fine. Now, when I wear this hat, I may not look like Crocodile Dundee even though I am good looking like him, tough as hell like him, but I lack the accent and acting experience....but I've got a hat like him, just not the money like him. Glad I picked this style over the Indiana Jones type of hat...I highly recommend this hat...it will not disappoint. BUY IT!!!!

Really like the look the fit is good but had to be adjusted. The hat could use a removable sweat band and hasn't been tested in hard rain but it will be.

The hat is comfortable and stylish. The leather and overall quality of the hat are very good. One of the best options at this price.

Very good quality, genuine leather, amazing value for money. Once received I could not stop wearing it the whole day at home - very comfy! My 4 y.o. son managed to grab it from me, throw it to the floor and jump on it.. To my surprise, it took me seconds to straighten it out and it looked like nothing has happened. Later my son repeated his experiment when I was not looking, but again after aligning the dents the hat looked brand new like right out of the box

AS mentioned, headspace is a bit shorter from top of hat to the brim than expected. Hat sits pretty loosely on my head. But I think once it is abit weathered and molded to my head it will be fine. Hat looks are as expected. It' my new "look"!

Love love love this hat!!! I was looking for a cowboy hat with a chin strap for long trail rides in the hot sun. After searching Amazon for at least 30 minutes for a "leather women's cowboy hat" I stumbled upon this beauty! It was the only one that had multiple sizes and measurements. I'm a petite woman at 5'1" so my head is small too (I measured 21.2in around) so I was desperate to find something that fit me. I also didn't want something with a tall crown to make me look tiny. I was a bit skeptical about the measurements listed, but 22in was the smallest so I took a risk and bought it. So glad I did! It's exactly what I was looking for! Size wise it is a teeny bit big on me, but I tend to braid my hair (messy, but pictured) which gives me extra thickness and makes it fit PERFECTLY. The leather is soft to the touch, the chinstrap is a little cheap elastic cord, but I can always replace it. The air holes are not in the *exact* same spot on either side, but it doesn't really bug me. It has enough shape to it without being too rigid. Shipped in a big box so no crushing or warping. I plan on waterproofing it before wearing so it should last for years to come!
