Kirschen5-Inch Oval Burnisher with Wood Handle

Increíble, definitivamente recomiendo esta herramienta.

I like everything about this burnisher except the steel is not as hard as I expected. After 20-years I finally broke down and got something 6" long. It is very easy to hold, and when you need two hands when your scraper is in a vise, you can control the degree you want to maintain while running it back and forth across your piece. I use this in combination with and old file I ground and honed (can't tell you how many hours it took to do that), because the file had harder steel. There are tiny scratch marks left on the two-cherries burnisher after use. But it still works well. I can't say what brand, but I do have a scraper of very hard steel and it is this one scraper which leaves the tiny scratches. It takes a little long to get my hook, and to be fair, that is with both tools (the new one and the old, home made one).

Product was as advertised. Good delivery. Haven't used it yet. Bought it with a scraper from the same company. Price seems a little high for a simple tool, but it's a bit of a specialty item.

He said this is exactly what he needed. Looked good to me and he was pleased. It was a gift.

Though I /can/ create a burr, I can't consistently create a quality burr with this tool, as I can with others that are highly-polished. I can't find the hardness of either the burnisher or the TC cards, here or on their website. I /do/ use a lube with this and other burnishers, and I find my results consistently better for it.

Needed a burnisher to sharpen all my scrappers, this tool does the job and the price was right. Exactly as advertised.

Tool is a lot smaller than I thought. It works but is not comfortable to use. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Like most burnishers it needs to be highly polished before and during use. It has a good surface but requires serious polishing to keep it from damaging the scraper edge.

This tool is to turn an edge on a card scraper. I recommend polishing the edge after filing the scraper square. The scratches left by the file will give a ragged cut.

Es lohnt sich einen Ziehklingenstahl zu besitzen. Ich habe lange mit einem runden Hartmetallstift die Ziehklingen abgezogen. Und dann dachte ich, ich kaufe mir doch mal einen Stahl mit Heft. Ich habe die ovale Form gewählt, man kann damit tatsächlich besser abziehen als mit einem runden. Wichtig ist, nahezu ohne Druck zu arbeiten. Dann wird die Ziehklinge rasiermesserscharf. Der Grat muss dabei gar nicht lange sein. Eher gleichmäßig. Und das geht mit dem ovalen Stahl besser.Muss man einfach mal ausprobieren. Und man wird dann nichts anderes mehr wollen ...

Ich bin ein Anfänger, und habe zuerst versucht, den Grat mit einem Wetzstahl zu ziehen.Hat nicht geklappt.Mit dem Ziehklingenstahl aber, nach ein paar Anläufen, einen sehr scharfen Grat hinbekommen.Schönes Design, gute Handhabung

Der Kirschen 2328086 Ziehklingenstahl oval mit Holzheft, braun/grau macht genau was er soll. Es bedarf wohl einiger Übung, wie bei allem.
