Good workout for the money!
I bought this new from Amazon. I was a bit skeptical based on the low price, but figured it was worth a shot. I was pleased to have it arrive with no problems, and went to work putting it together. Note - most of it was assembled already, you just need to be able to use a hex wrench and screwdriver. I think it took about 30 minutes to install. It went together easily, and I was off and running. Well, ellipticalling. :)It's sturdy, well built, but not so heavy that you can't move it around as needed. There's numerous different programs for whatever type of activity you like - I prefer intervals, which thankfully is also there.I found it more comfortable to use it standing, though there's a seat for cycling if you prefer. I initially felt the stride was a bit shorter than I was used to at the gym, but of course, those are $10,000 machines, and this one is considerably cheaper. What I started noticing, however, was despite my feelings about the stride, I was ending up sweating more on *this* unit than I do at the gym. I actually started to look forward to my 30 minute sessions on this one.I had an equally good experience with their support team. I had a mechanical issue within my warranty period and they were super responsive and took care of my problem with no complaints or difficulty. I was thrilled to deal with a company that stands behind their product.

Hurt my knee
Took my very mechanically-inclined husband and I one and a half hours to assemble, using his professional tools. Pretty easy. The angle does hurt my knees. I tilted the front end up as other reviewers suggested, which helped, but it still bothers my knee. I don't use it very much for that reason. And also because exercise is a real downer.

Pile of scrap metal at this point
After spending three evenings working on this thing and trying unsuccessfully three times to contact the Hupa company (once by phone, twice by email), I have a room full of scrap metal to show for it. At one point in the assembly, the instructions clearly state "push [part x] through the hole in [part y]" but the hole is threaded, and the bolt [part x] doesn't fit. I've tried over and over to align the threads just right -- it ain't happening. (This is on the left side; I've tried the bolt assembly on the right side and it seems to seat, so it may be a flawed bolt for the left.)I would appreciate knowing whether anyone else has run into this problem, and whether you found a solution.

Great for the price. Mid range quality. Provides a great workout.
I've used it for about a week now. Nice eliptical for the price. Very easy to construct and shouldn't take more than an hour & a half. If you own a small socket set with allen wrench attachments, it makes the job even faster as the provided tools can make things unnecessarily tedious. Just be sure to read the directions and not just look at the diagram (left side leg's bolt goes in counter clockwise ;) or else you'll end up ruining a thread by trying to force it through). However, I could do without the daily routine maintenance of re-tightening/lubricating screws/nuts to avoid the inevitable sqeaks and the slight knocking sounds caused by loose peices. Perhaps applying some Loctite on some of the non-rotating screws and between the thread & nuts of the bolts would fix this but I haven't tried it yet. If you're a shorter person like myself, be sure to maintain your positioning while using it as an eliptical and align the foot pads and yourself farther toward the back of the equipment or you'll destroy your knees by constantly bumping them against the arm bars with every stride. I like to work out without the fear of injury due to the equipment. The stride length is pretty short at 14 inches but that's fine and is balanced out because the resistance, even at a low to mid range setting, is for real which was a pleasant surprise. Definitely worth it for the price. Just be sure to pick up the 3 year warranty because even with just one week in, I have my suspicions about this thing's longevity.Overall, don't expect professional fitness center quality for $200 but you will get a great workout with this equipment at a great price.

Trainer for all your needs
Came in on time. 2 parts missing. Had to order directly from company. I live in condo and UPS left it in foyer. Did not buzz me to let them upstairs. I called them & was told that "no signature was requred". On this expensive machine, it should have been requried. Had to get a couple of neighbors to bring it up. Love it overall. A lot of levels to set it at. Would recommend it.

durable
I purchased a bodyrider 5 years ago. I use it 5 days a week often twice a day. I have been impressed with how durable it has been. I only have to oil the bolts about once a year, and that is an easy task. I called the service department once and found them to be accessible, courteous, and helpful. I am very pleased overall with the product and the service.

Fits the bill.
Living in Minnesota can be tough on the waistline in winter months. I bought the Body Champ to give me a workout when I can't go outdoors. This directions for assembly were easy to follow. The stability is pleasantly surprising. There are many options for intensity of workouts. All in all, a good product for the price.
