Coleman 8-Piece Enamel Cooking Set

My family bought a set of Coleman enamel camp cookware when we first started camping almost 20 years ago. When it was time to buy my own camping gear, I look around a lot and ultimately decided to purchase this set as well. They are extremely durable and well made.The set only has two drawbacks. First, it isn't light. This is definitely not a backpacking set. Second, the coffee pot lid is not well thought out. The little knob is hard to grip, especially when the pot is full of boiling water. Combined with the design of the rim (it takes a bit of pressure to take the lid off, which is great because it won't just pop off when you're pouring), the tiny knob does not allow you to get the lid off easily. If Coleman added a small metal D-ring to the knob, that would fix it nicely.

Great cooking set! Perfect size for the camp stove. I just wish the handle for the skillet was rounded like the pot handle.

Very high quality, I shopped around for 2 weeks before I found this great cook set. This was everything I was looking for at a great price. The enamel is very strong and the pots were the perfect size for me. Items came packed very well with no issues.

It was alright. The cooking utensils are crap quality, but the cookware was what I expected. It's not the best percolator in the world, but it's a decent cheap one in a pinch.

The set came as expected from the description. First thing I noticed is that the frying pan is useless. I tried cooking a few things in it and everything sticks. It is flimsy, too. They might as well have not included it. The two pans and the coffee pot are much better. I wish there were two lids and they could keep the frying pan. The utensils are fairly useful and pack tightly. They are large enough to be used, light, and sturdy. One other thing, the top for the coffee pot has a small pimple, it seems intended to be used for lifting the lid. As it is an inverted cone shape it is difficult to grip. I drilled a hole in it and attached a wooden drawer knob. Looks kind of funky, but it works.

The handles of the pots, pans and coffee pot have absolutely no insulation. You will burn yourself if you are not careful. I burned my hand so badly while camping that we had to come home early. I was in excruciating pain. I don’t know what camping pans to buy, but it’s not these. It’s a bummer, because Coleman is such a classic brand... inferior product.

The only weird thing that happened was with the kettle. We always put our dishes in a bucket with water to let things soak for about 30min. The handles started getting this blue oxidized thing happen to it. It comes off just weird. But other than that its perfect and xant beat the price. Perfect for family camping

Used for sons camp

I first got a used enamel coated fry pan which came from a purchased used tent trailer. I cleaned the residual on the surface using non-scratch glass top stove cleaner. The surface was back to almost its original shiny surface. We used it to shallow fry chicken wings. Of course there was some sticked on the surface and half burned. I used metal spatula to turn the wings and at the end used the metal spatula to get the burnt skin off the surface. The surface is not been scratched at all. I finally found this set at Amazon and bought it. I found one spot enamel coating off and there is a bit shape uneven at a few spots. Based on the price, the value is still very good. Of course, I prefer less items (the utensils is not necessary) but higher quality.I am glade it is like a non-stick pan and can use metal utensils.

I'm so disappointed. This all feels very flimsy and there is practically a hole in the side of the saucepan. I have a 3 year old and we are dealing with social distancing, working from home, etc. and just trying to enjoy a few camping experiences. I chose this because I trusted the Coleman name. I open the box and clean it all the night before we camp and find it in this condition. I cannot deal with the stress of returning these items and will need to use it as is. Such a waste of my money.

Packaging arrived very damaged. Items were undamaged, however the lid to the kettle was missing upon arrival. Disappointed with this, otherwise product was as advertised.
