A not-too-tall proper spark plug socket of almost the EXACTLY correct size
Another part of my 2008 Prius acquisition and repair saga, this part to accommodate the size of the newer generation of spark plugs. I was prepared for 5/8 and 13/16, but not 14mm. Turns out that 9/16 is effectively the same as 14mm, and is a size used on some 'merican engines so there was the normal embarrassment of riches when shopping for the socket. Everything about this one seemed completely OK for my application. Right size, check. 6 point, check. Those flank-drivey socket walls, check. Magnetic plug retention, check. Built in wobble-type, but much more rotationally smooth extension, check. Now all I have to be sure of is that it's not too tall, but I STRONGLY suspect that it's going to be fine. Dun and dunner.

just what I needed
I had to replace spark plugs in a 2007 Ford 5.4L Triton 3 valve engine, notorious for breaking off plugs during replacement. This socket does just what it is supposed to. I replaced all eight and none broken.

Must-have tool for plug change on a Ford F150
Don't know how I would've gotten to the last two plugs on my '06 Ford truck without this. There is no way I would've been able to get a straight socket/extension back to where the last plug on each side of the engine resides on the 5.4 V8. Both are basically under/behind the firewall on the truck. This tool made it easy to remove and install, and is magnetic, so when the plug is unthreaded, it holds onto it while you remove it from the block.

Doesn’t work
I purchased this for my Ford Expedition 5.4 L that has a long narrow spark plug. It was the cheapest on Amazon but sometimes you get what you pay for. The benefit of it was the magnets hold the spark plug versus a rubber grommet. Personally I would’ve went with the grommet the magnets were not strong enough to hold the spark plug, so the minute it dangles vertical the spark plug drops out. More or less its the same as a deep socket 9/16.

Not Magnetic As Advertised
As another reviewer stated, this is not magnetic, even though the description and even the packing box says it is. The socket fell right out. I even stuck a screw driver in the end to see if the magnet slid up during shipping, and nothing. I have other magnetic plug sockets, so someone either forgot to add the magnet, or it was never magnetized. Poor quality control if you ask me. I'll be returning it within 2-minutes of receiving it.

Toyota Prius owners beware
This seems like a quality product, however, I was unable to use it on my 2015 Toyota Prius. Due to the design of this tool, with a larger-than-usual ring around the base of the socket it was unable to fit inside the engine rendering it completely useless. I'm unsure of why this design choice was made, but the socket was the correct size (9/16") for my vehicle and would have worked perfectly without the widened base of the socket.

Works Great !
After going to multiple auto parts stores and even purchasing a 9/16" spark plug socket from one of them that did not work because the rubber insert was so tight inside of the socket the spark plug would not go up inside the socket far enough for the socket to go all the way down on the plug, I ordered this. It was like magic! Took out all 8 of my plugs without breaking any of them and the magnetic aspect of it held on to the plug and it came right out of the deep plug wells in my '06 F-150. Wish I would have found this earlier. The swivel head was a big help on those couple towards the rear of the engine too. You won't be disappointed with this socket.

Better than expected
I like this product a lot. It came in and I expected it to be less of a tool than what I got. To my total surprise it's much better than I had anticipated and would suggest this to anyone who needs this type of tool tool. I expecially like the strong magnet that holds on to the spark plug, much better than the old rubber sleeve.
