It is easy to install, but you do need to follow the installations instructions carefully to remove the old vacuum breaker. After that the Spigot Master installs very quickly and easily. This is a well thought out device that works perfectly. Very well machined and a perfect fit. I have recommended this to several friends since I bought my first one several years ago. That one worked very well and this one does too.

I have an arrowhead faucet in the back of the house and it leaked constantly. It was like playing a"dodge the water spray" game everytime I had to water my lawn. No matter what I did this modified contraption on the faucet always leaked. Ne gaskets? Leaked. Tighten it up? Leaked.... Try to deflect he water? It would come out a different direction like it had a mind of its own. I had never seen one of these on all of the houses I had lived. Then I looked up and found out that I had an Arrowhead spigot. Who in the hell would put something like this garbage on a house? Do they get kickbacks from Arrowhead? Then I found out the backflow preventer has a long history of leaking and breaking internally. What adamn racket! Luckily I found this Spigotmaster adapter online. I was weary. I mean it's a simple adapter but there are two different sizes. I was very careful to order the right size for the backyard. It arrived in only a couple of days and was very easy to put on. Not problems. No leaking and the previous flow restriction was no longer there like with the old backflow garbage. My sprinkler could cover more area. I loved it so much that I went onto Amazon and did the "reorder" option. Got the new one in the mail in about two days. I felt like a kid at Christmas. I couldn't wait to put it on. OMG it was going to be spectacular.And.... Wouldn't you know it that, when I went to the front yard to install it, it's a different Arrowhead spigot design and of course a different size of threads... ugh. It didn't fit... It was like Arrowhead was getting back at me one last time.... I will prevail. Oh yes... I will prevail. I will order another (although it's a good additional $20 out of my pocket) I plan on doing it just so I can be victorious over this oppressive spigot monopoly that continues to dash my lawn watering dreams, while soaking the side of my house and my shoes/pants...

I had to replace a failed vacuum breaker for a customer. To avoid having to do it again in about 5 years, i decided to go with a Spigot Master replacement. The hose bibb is a Nibco brand, and there are two models listed, so i ordered both jist to make sure. Rob from Spigot Master actually called me to tell me that i may not need them, as certain models of Nibco faucets would take a hose directly once the vacuum breaker was removed. He was correct, and the faucet works perfectly. They cancelled the order for me.I am absolutely BLOWN AWAY that this effort was undertaken, with the net result of a loss of a sale, simply because Rob actually cared about my satisfaction and wanted to give me the best value. This is an extremely rare occurence in the business world of today, as anyone can surely attest to. You just dont find this kind of ethics and pride anywhere anymore, and it is a characteristic i strive to be known for in my own profession - i am a homebuilder and plumber by trade, and i have worked very hard to be known as honest and forthright. This man, and by extension this company, have proven their worth to me and i wont forget it. I cannot recommend this organization highly enough - i havent even used their product but i am absolutely certain that when i do i will be more than happy with it. Great job and you have permanently made it to the top of my list.

well built, cheap washer, I upgraded the washer to a higher quality. this does solve leak problems, but I it does not meet my local plumbing code so I will be adding a anti-syphon somewhere

After buying several different fittings that were all the wrong size from different vendors I ordered this product to stop a leaking vacuum breaker. Even though I measured apparently I still ordered the wrong size. But for this product the vendor reached out and said that the one I had ordered was rare to non existent in my state and it was probably a different one. They asked me for a picture and confirmed the model for me, and promptly sent out the correct fitting. This service and expertise in their product was above and beyond. And with the adapter now I am 100% drip free.

After multiple attempts to replace the ABP backflow valve for our outdoor faucet I found SpigotMaster. With their specific information on the size I needed it does the job! No more leaking backflow. Easy to attach and and really excited that is American made!! Thank you SpigotMaster!!!

After measuring my spigots, I was pretty convinced that I had the SPGTM#4 size, XXL, but Rob from SM reached out to me to check, because the #4 is very uncommon, and based on my measurements suggested SPGTM#3. I was in doubt at first but they then sent me picutres of both, so I got some calipers and ditched the tape measure (not precise) and then I knew they were right comparing against their images.The SPGTM#3's shipped right away and landed in Kelowna BC 2 days later on Friday Aug 18. They fit perfectly and this was just in time, Kelowna was under an enormous wildfire bearing down and reigning embers on the town due to high winds so the risk was very high for spot fires in the entire area. Obviously having working garden hoses that can be left on to be ready and not leak, to put out spot fires immediately is essential and doing exactly this has saved people's homes.Although I didn't plan for that application when I ordered them, I was just tired of leaky vacuum breakers with no parts availability, I'm very happy they arrived and are good quality and ensure things work exactly how they need to. They are high quality, heavier than I expected and work with no leaks. Thanks again! Great quality and excellent service from this team. Will recommend to others.

Save my life! Bought a new house and of course we had mental out door attachments that a regular hose wouldn't work with. My whole town was like you have to replace the whole tap and the line that runs into the house. Not anymore!

This unit finally allowed me to attach a garden hose to the larger diameter spigot which had previously had a vacuum breaker attached. I had tried several different ones, but nothing worked. This unit is designed for this issue and it works flawlessly...Recommended!!!!!
