Le Creuset Stoneware Egg Cup, 2", Flame

Lovely high quality egg cups. The Flame color goes really well with eggs, whether they are still in the shell or have been cracked open. We very much enjoy the look and feel of them.

Cute Cute Cute. Cheaper than a china/eggshell china type & sturdier & dishwasher safe too! LOVE the red,got 4 of them. Grew up eating soft-boiled eggs & now that chickens are laying, will be eating more! TRY THIS SIMPLE RECIPE I LOVE TO SPOON INTO/OVER SOFT BOILED: 1/4 STICK UNSALTED BUTTER, 1 TBSP Fresh LEMON JUICE, 2 TSP DILL WEED (I use dried) Melt in covered container in microwave (I use Med-Med High Heat in 1100w Microwave for 2min 30 sec, so butter melts but doesn't separate) (I use cold butter) enough for 4 eggs depending on how much you like it! So fresh & lemony & perfect on eggs. I use Unsalted Butter, no salt either, but you could add red or black pepper to taste for a bit of heat if you like. I don't seem to miss the salt or pepper with the dill weed in it. Hope you enjoy! Oh, I make my soft boiled eggs in my Egg Dash cooker (also from Amazon) (just ordered an egg dash cooker for my son's birthday next month---will include my recipe for my Fancy Bacon Deviled Eggs that Everyone we know Loves when it comes in. Yeah Yeah I know, I write more than I planned on, I'm not half Irish for nothing & the result of two years typing in high school---I should be getting paid for some of my reviews. LOL

I came back fro Europe in love with soft-boiled eggs, but lacking a proper soft-boiled-egg vessel. I bought the orange because it was the cheapest, and I am so glad I did. The color is bright, cheerful and fun! The product itself is typical, well-made Le Creuset quality. Love it!

I've had several Le Creuset baking items, thought I'd give this a try. First, as others noted, it is very fragile, very lightweight, so do be careful, and hand-wash! Second, large eggs may not fit snugly (I didn't have any issues, but I buy eggs from Whole Foods). My rating is 3.5-4, and was based on two factors, design and appearance; simply put, it is a very simple design, rather nice glaze, but, the base should be heavier, to avoid slipping, breakage; and the neck really should be taller; but that's my opinion. my only other "complaint" is the color; I ordered this in white, based on the sample image, but what I received was not really "white". It is more a "light" grey, I.e., porcelain, which you shouldn't expect, at least, not from this manufacturer.
