BedBox is the ultimate travel gadget for children from 0 years, all the way up to 6-7 years. It is your child´s hand luggage, ride-on suitcase and inflight bed, in the very same box. Ride-on suitcases are one of the most popular travel gadgets ever made for children, and are sold in millions each year. Kids love them, and parents love them! Why? Because they solve some of the hassles experienced when travelling with small children. Riding through the big airports on a ride-on suitcase is a fun experience for kids, and solves that part of the journey in a positive way. And since most ride on suitcases are made within hand luggage dimensions, the kids are able to bring their favourite items on-board. But what about the part of travel that you spend in the air? For many parents, the real hassle about traveling starts when entering the aircraft. The children usually get tired and exhausted during the flight, and many of them need their sleep. However, the sleeping opportunities for children on-board most aircrafts are very limited. That is why we designed BedBox, a patented children's ride on suitcase that easily converts into an aircraft bed. BedBox is the perfect travel gadget for babies and children up to approximately 7 years old. The bed feature can be used for children all the way up to approximately 4 years, and the ride-on suitcase can be used from when they are able to sit safely on their own, all the way up to around 7 years. The bed feature is designed for use on-board airplanes, but can also be used on-board trains. When the aircraft is airborne, and the seatbelt-sign has been switched off, you can easily turn the BedBox into "bedmode" with the help of it´s unique lid, and a machine washable mattress that is also included. BedBox is designed to be used during the cruise portion of the flight, and is easily stowed away before landing.

This bed box was great for our little gir
Travelled from Australia to America and return, 3 flights each way. This bed box was great for our little gir. She's 2.5 yrs old so bit big to lie totally flat as shown in the advert, however still good enough for her to sleep well for a number of hours. The little walls on the side also stopped her toys falling on the floor every two minutes. The thing I found weird was how it doesn't have any breaks to click the wheels in place when bed is set up and so it moves to the left and right somewhat so bed needed straightening back up from time to time. Other than that a fantastic item.

Excellent idea but poor quality
I returned my order. I was very disappointed with the quality. Very flimsy strap to pull on, thin. Thin mattress with no remivable/washable cover, no lock/brakes on wheels and the platform does not lock into place when extended. Great idea but die poor quality does not justify the expense. I can't see it surviving more than a couple of trips.

Great product - worth the money!
We have bought two of these - my sons are 2 and 5 - and they work really well. Firstly they are great to sit on and get through the airport. My two year old needs pulling as his legs aren't quite long enough yet but my 5 year old whizzes along at quite a rate! We used them recently on two 12 hour night flights and both boys slept for a good 7 hours. My two year old can lie flat while my five year old can stretch out with his legs straight and recline his seat which worked really well. Highly recommended!

Not able to use on all flights
I'm hesitant to jump over joy for this. I was able to use this on several international flights and thought it was just ok. The mattress slides around a lot and my 2 1/2 year old was too tall to stretch, having to sleep in an uncomfortable little ball. I found that some airlines allowed it under the seat in front of me while taking off whereas other languages not only did not, but two wouldn't even allow me to use it in the fullest capacity. On one of our flights, the airline told me not I was not allowed to use it during the flight for her to lay flat at all. She could sit up using it though, resting her legs, but not use it like a bed. Essentially, it was a $200 foot rest. I guess certain airlines are a tad particular. So, you'll have to check ahead of time if you're even allowed to use it. Otherwise, it's just a piece of plastic that you are going to be wheeling around without much purpose.I think this would be perfectly fine if your child was under the age of one and you didn't want to have them as a lap child or if he/she was short. In that case, If the airline allows you to use it as a bed, like it is supposed to be used, you're good to go. Otherwise, it's a waste.
