Q: What is the mounting dept of this box???

Don't exactly know what the mounting depth is and never bothered measuring it. But I was able to mount a 12" Sony explode rated at 1200 watts. Had to take the plastic cover off the magnet. Hope this helps a little.

Q: What sub should i get for this?

It depends on how much power (rms) your amp has. I used a Pioneer shallow mount sub and I'm very, very pleased with it. Try to match the amp watts to the sub watts at the same impedance. Like if the amp is rated at 500w at 4 ohms, then get a sub with 4 ohms that can handle 500w. You can get by with a sub that can handle less wattage, but you can also blow it if you run it wide open at full volume.A sub that can handle 350W works fine with a 500W amp as long as you don't turn it up all the way. The amp will have a gain control. Just don't turn it up past 75 or 80%, that will help protect the smaller wattage sub. The sub says 1200 watts, but that is peak wattage. The important watts are rms watts. Ignore peak wattage when looking at amps and subs. The rms rating is what counts.

Weird Design but Good Overall

Weird design, it will topple over while you drive so make sure you invest in some velcro tape. But does the job.
