The BEST, and I've used many...
Don't think that an expensive "flush" portable toilet will be better. I CURRENTLY HAVE BOTH AND THIS ONE IS BETTER. Here's why:1) Is there any feature more important that easy cleanup? NO. Clean up is WAY easier and faster. Who wants to mess with urine and feces? Not me. With this one you simply pull out the bag and throw it away. The other two stage type has to be thoroughly cleaned because excrement actually touches the inner plastic parts (both chambers). I never really felt like I was getting it clean, when I cleaned it I felt like I was getting urine on me, and on one occasion as I left it in the back of my truck to air out on the drive home from camping and the toilet lit/seat flew off somewhere on the freeway. $25 (with shipping) to get a new one from the Italian maker. Also the caps on the two chamber ones leak when the imbedded rubber seal gets old and dried out.2) Smell, the Reliance DOESN'T smell. We keep ours in the tent so the kids can go at night and it absolutely doesn't smell. The two chamber one only smells slightly, unless you leave some skids (which the flusher doesn't get rid of very good).3) Cost, these are much cheaper in the short and long run. Bags are $2 each, that's it. If you want to you can use your own bags and throw in some kitty litter. The two chamber units are 2-3 times more expensive to by and you have also have to deal with (and buy) the blue additive to mix with the water storage. Also there are too many moving internal parts and the hard plastic can break much easier (replacement costs, plus who really wants to dissemble one of these for repair).4) Sturdy. I'm a 6-foot 220 pound man and I feel just fine on this thing. Admittedly, this may be one place were others are a little better because they have a more traditional seat and a slightly lower profile. Of course lower has its give and take because the lower you sit the closer your knees are to your face, uncomfortable. One complaint is that the sticker in the side of the unit isn't peeling off easy. So it looks scraggly as it fades and rips off. Also I wish the t-paper holder had a handle because I feel like I have to touch the part that touches the seat. I'm kind of a germaphobe. All in all pretty minor gripes. On another note, this unit has 5 parts. The parts you can see in the picture are a outer lid, inner lid with t-paper holder, grey seat, and outer black bucket/container. Then there is also an inner bucket/container. This inner container is where you put the plastic bag. So, you put the plastic bag in the inner bucket, then put that inner bucket into the outer black bucket, put the grey seat on the black bucket and over the edge of the inner bucket, and them you can close it up.Seriously this was way to much of a review for a portable toilet but because I camp a lot, I'm glad to endorse good camping products.

Not a stinker
As much I can love a portable camping toilet, this is great. We have a pop-up cab-over camper. No toilet in this baby. But I hate getting up in the middle of the night and walking to a bathroom in a camp ground. Being a girl in a crowded campground, ...well, other options are not available to me.So this product is an outer can for a 5 gal can inside. So you have a seat and lid. And it does come with come product for blue stuff. But I skip that.It may sound strange but I put pine pellet kitty litter in a kitchen garbage bag inside the 5 gallon bucket. This stuff is amazing for cats and people. NO smell. And you can flush it or just toss it out. It turns into pine mulch saw dust when wet. I only use it for my liquids if you get my meaning. Anyway, in a small camper, you don't want porta-potty smell. When we were done with the weekend, I took the saw dust to the trash.

ONE GOOD TURLIT!
What a great product!I am reviewing this turlit after having it for a month now and man did it get one heck of a workout over a three day period. Let me just say that it'll hold up to even the most demanding of circumstances. If you're a big fella or you're average/fit it's going to support you. We took this porta-potty on a family campout and let me tell you ALL SHAPES and ALL SIZES used this product. Never once was there a call for `man down' or `whoops...' during the three day period. We had the turlit in a privacy tent which included a wash station and dressing area (see the Coleman 14x10 8 man tent. Makes for a great wash-room!). Did I mention the smell? Right! Because there wasn't one! Unless you stuck your honker right down into this puppy you're not going to smell a thing. Clean up? What breeze! Never once did we have any stray unmentionables come leaking through the bags nor did we have skids or splashes on the seat. Pro Tip - Take unscented kitty litter with you. Do your business, throw a scoop over your excrement, BOOM!! You'll make use of the bags a lot longer. You can also use dirt or sand if you don't want to haul around kitty litter...This is a really good product and I would/have recommend this to anyone whose looking for a porta-potty. Stay away from the flush units with storage tanks!! Man do you EVER want to avoid these crappers like the plague... Let me tell you something about those flush units (which are considerably more expensive). Once the rubber seal goes out on your waste tank or you don't have a tight fit of the bowl too the tank look out guys, you're going to get a nasty mess, and your wife won't be cleaning this one up for you! Some final thoughts, and as some of the reviewers mentioned, she's a little short to sit on but it's not bad and you can always raise it with a small step stool or something of the sort if that bothers you.Just don't waste your time on the other pottys, this one will get the job done!

This made me a hero!
This toilet was an amazing life saver. I bought it to take to the solar eclipse in Oregon. Everyone made fun of me, but I had a feeling that there would not be enough porta-potties in the field we had rented for overnight camping.Well, I was right! There was ONE ports-potty for 1000s of people. It would have been a complete nightmare without this perfect little potty. I lined it with an extra large cat box bag (it was thick), and then filled it with crystal cat litter. We also brought a sheet that my cousins and I used to tent over us as we used the bathroom.Easy cleanup and now it's in my basement for the next camping trip or incase we have that earthquake that is supposed to happen. At first I was the butt of jokes (pun intended) and then I was the hero!
