Sword Art Online Complete Season 1 Collection Episodes 1-25

I brought this knowing that it probably is Region b/2. And it was!It didn't say in specs for discs region. But the picture are spot on on how blu ray case look like, the discs has beautiful pictures on them.CON: This will not play on US blu ray player that doesn't has setting for regions or made to be play from any regions. Also If you want to only able to watch it on TV then you probably will have to buy multi, region B player, etc.PRO: if you do have PC disc external player that can change setting of regions. Then you are good to go!I do have one. And I always keep that it on Region B/2 setting, just in case. No matter what region blu ray anime are on, they always have subtitles which are a big bonus thumb ups for me!Extra info: I just finished watching first episode before commenting. The picture are beautiful, lot sharper and clearer than what I see on Netflix/Hulu/Crunchyroll/etc. in my opinion. So I am very glad I finally got first season! I am looking forward to get other seasons. This is one of my fave RPG which I never get tired of re-reading or re-watching.

The case is very well made and solid, Each Disc also has a cool textured engraving of some of the characters on them as well. Also a bonus is it came earlier then excepted too.

If you are in the US, don't make the purchase, The seller is selling movies that are not compatible with the US Format Bluray players. When the item is returned, they charge a huge return/stocking fee. 50% It's a huge scam, sell items that cannot be used, get them returned and charge huge restocking fees so that they make a money selling nothing. Amazon has no problem with this, so buyer beware.

The case was in tact when it arrived. Thankfully it was authentic. Really loved season one of SOA.

maybe one of the best anime series in a long time, exceptionally well drawn characters, good story lines!

++ Great Video Quality++ Play All feature is nice (All the episodes are chapters so you can skip chapter to go through all the episodes)-- Special features are very lacking. I didn't watch but it looked like it was just episode opening/ending videos

The title applies primarily to the first 14 episodes. The adventure through Aincrad is maybe some of the best anime I've ever seen, and other reviews online seem to agree. Kirito's lone quest to become the best, and his eventual falling in love and learning to befriend folks is stirring. I was glued to my screen. the last 11 are very good, but not as great. They include much more sexualization of female characters, poorer writing of once strong female leads, and a classic (read as "overdone") story arc of boy rescues girl, with the help of some friends. Overall, I highly recommend the series, and frankly, despite the slight let-down in the second half, I will be immediately starting Sword Art Online II

I really enjoy SAO and have been wanting to buy it on bluray since the first season finished airing. The Region A sets are too expensive, but once I bought a region-free player, I bought this and a lot of other anime on bluray, including Ordinal Scale, SAO season 2, and all of alicization and alicization war of underworld. The only one I don't own is Extra Edition and GGO Alternative.

English dub and SubGood quality, complete series 1 (SOA and Alfheim storyline) for EU region.was delivered sooner than anticipated.
