Poison Spyder 17-53-011-PC Hood Louver

I do not normally leave reviews for items I buy however, I questioned taking the leap of faith of cutting into my jku hood for a while since it's a new 2016 model. I finally decided to do it and I must say the end result I absolutely love!BE WARNED: DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES I DID I thought I had absolutely everything I needed, which I did however, every tool I was using ended up failing from the heavy use. They were not higher quality tools, which I blame for the reason on why I went out and bought the best of the best during this project.Snapshot of the day: cordless drill overheated and failed, grinder overheated and failed (black and decker), hole saw bits sheared and did not allow for easy cuts after first hole. Went to the local lowes and bought brand new everything including bits and awesome new Dewalt setup. Install went easily following this.My Advice: do not take up this project by yourself, and make sure you have brand new metal cutting hole saw bits 1" and 3/4". A High quality angle grinder, and high quality drill with extra batteries. I only needed the one with the dewalt. Take your time for a great result.For the product itself: very well made and constructed... follow all of the instructions given and do not skip steps or alternate it. It's much easier to just read the instructions a few times before you even begin. Have fun because if you have all the correct tools it's maybe a 2-4 hour job. Mine was 10 hours because of failing tools and constant back and forth trips to lowes. I gave it 4-stars because one of my vents on the corner was dented in,which I did not notice until I bolted it on. It's so small it looks like it's made that way so I'm not sending it back.

I'm not the most mechanically inclined person so it took my 5 hours to install this but I love the finished product. The template is step by step, very detailed and easy to follow. I will suggest to familiarize yourself with the underside hood brace so you don't cut into it (too much as I think it's unavoidable to leave it unscathed). You will more than likely need a friend to get all of the hardware on or at least that part will go much faster. Get it, do itttt!

Looks really good. You have to be a little skilled to cut hood but worth the work.

Looks great and helps to keep the heat out from under the hood. A bit of an effort to install but there are many good tutorials on YouTube. I painted the bolt heads black to match the color.

Installed an a Wrangler JKUGood quality material.Would recommend

This thing is heavy metal with excellent black paint. be carefull when tightening the button head bolts as they can warp the thin metal of your hood. just snug the bolts and lock nuts.

Looks great! Received with one corner bent! Packaging was great but it was apparently dropped! Straightened out okay! Took me two hours to get everything just right!
