POLYWOOD AD4030NV Classic Adirondack Chair, Navy

Some screws stripped / possible color fading
I bought two of these to use on the deck of our New England ski house to replace some cheap pine chairs we bought 5 or 6 years ago. The chairs came partially assembled; remaining assembly was easy, took me about 20 minutes to finish. The upright back supports come pre-assembled to the frame. They must have been assembled by machine because they appear to have been over torqued during assembly Several screws were stripped on both chairs and the back slats were loose. I had some epoxy laying around and that seemed to do the trick for the short term. When I have more time I plan to remove the existing screws and replace with larger diameter screws. Also there was a tag included that warned against leaving the chairs in direct sun due to color to fading; kind of defeats the purpose of not having to stain/paint. These will be on my deck in direct sun year round. These are OK but I could buy chairs locally made from cypress and stained for slightly less and will probably go that route for the remainder of the chairs I need.

5/24/2020 update: cheap.
I love this chair. It was easy to assemble and it's super comfortable. But when I ordered mine I paid $147.00 and then i went back to get the other three we need and they went up to $229.00. That's an $82.00 difference. That's crazy. What happened?!Update: we decided to order 3 more of these chairs for $229.00 amd we sat in it and now the plastic is hot or something and its bowing down amd the material feels really soft and flimsy. I will definitely be contacting the company or the seller for a partial refund. These are not worth $229.00 dont waste your hard earned money.

eh
These are going to be way too small and too low to the ground. Assembly is fairly easy but they only include a picture. They don't include the wrench (use a socket bit and ratchet it'll be 80 times easier by the way) and it's easy to put the bolt facing inward accidentally when attaching the arm. I ripped my pants figuring it out that the pointy part needs to go under the arm. Most importantly NO WEIGHT CAPACITY is provided. And if you read the notes from the manufacturer they say things like. "We are trying to test all of our furniture" or, "we are only required to test it to 250lbs". Just weird stuff that leads me to believe that it's definitely not substantial enough to hold a lot of adults.

A total pain
If you have an extra few daysto figure out how to put this horrible thing together then go for it! The directions are ridiculous. It’s only pictures. The “poly wood” pieces have plastic shavings all over them. It comes in several pieces and includes an an Allen wrench but not the other 8/17 specific wrench that you need. So after I looked through my garage and finally had to go to Home Depot to get the size wrench I needed I ended up spending several hours putting it together only to finally give up and go to bed. I’ll attempt putting the rest of it together today. Not worth it at all. I’d return it if it wasn’t such a pain to do so.

not a full size Adirondack chair...
Ordered the chair thinking it was a full size Adirondack chair. It's not--about 3" too short in every direction.

Too small
Very small compared to my older real wood Adirondacks. For the price I would have expected a larger chair. Good size for me and my children but not for my husband.

Incorrect description and wrong parts
Ordered 4 chairs for $219/each. In the details and features it states they fold flat. They do not fold. It is a mistake in the description. I assume you have to pay $253 to get the folding one but it was a “copy and paste” description. I analyzed the info in detail before ordering as I thought to good to be true. Sure enoughThen decided I would keep them anyway only to find after unboxing all to assemble them 3 of 4 came with a wrong bar and could not be assembled. 3 hours of my life wasted dealing with them and I still need to go to UPS to return themBeyond annoying

Great but just minor flaws
It's a great looker, nice design beautiful color. However the workmanship is a bit meh. Pieces initially didn't fit correctly, but once you sit on it, it came into place. A bit more desirable to have the gaps and edge roughness be more fine tuned. Comfort is like wood. Feels soft and enough resistance. I read some people complaining about how the seats aren't "adult" sized. I am 6'2 and fits fine. So I don't know what size those people are. A cushion will help soften the hard feel but I am plenty happy with it

Nice looking chairs!
Easy to assemble. Female did it on my own with their screwdriver and my wrench as wrench was not enclosed as stated. Looks great with red cushions
