What I like about this product is the storage capacity and the hard case that offers protection. Functionality is great. I got quite a few I even use one for old baseball cards

The Pelican Vault V100 Multi-Purpose Hard Case offers sturdy construction at a reasonable price. It outperforms standard budget pistol cases found at most gun stores while remaining affordable. The solid build, secure buckles, and tough handle make it a reliable option. However, the foam is not perforated, requiring manual cutting for a custom fit. The hinges, while sturdy, could be pried open with a tool, and adding extra holes for a lock or cable would improve security.For the price, this case provides good protection.

Pelican is an excellent product and this is no exception. It is solid, protects well, and quality made. The only critique is that the included foam is not perforated. The instructions say to use an electric knife to carve out slots in the foam after tracing the outline of your item. I don't own an electric knife so I used a sharp utility knife but it left ragged cuts. Other than that, it is a good product.

Looks good and is solid. A bit on the expensive side.

I purchased the pelican vault v100 for flying with my bang-bang. The case works for me. I wish it was 3/4-1" thinner in depth ( but it will work ). The only issue I have is there are no padlock protectors where the locks go. All the pelican cases I've seen have them. Also the v100 in the picture has them. What's up Pelican? Are these cases supposed to have them. Definitely would be more protection around a critical area.

Size is just right for a mid compact with light, 2 mags, box of shells, and various small items. The insert is solid so if you want it form fitting you have to cut it out (these models are not pluck and pull). If so, you'll want to flip the insert upside-down and trace. Then use a couple new razor blades to cut. I have several vaults and they of great quality for the investment. The main thing that people complain about, but not me, is the handle is fixed (does not fold down). I like this as an extra bumper.
