Handmade Embroidery Starter Kit Set with Pattern Including Embroidery Cloth,Bamboo Embroidery Hoop, Color Threads, and Other Tools Kit for Beginners

I embroidered this project as a gift for a dear friend. It took me perhaps 12 hours, just a guess. I am very happy with the result, as is she. The two imperfections in this kit are: (1) It should say "each day," 2 separate words, instead of "eachday." I embroidered it the way it should be. When I was done, I soaked the finished work in cold water for 5 minutes & hung it up to dry. The manufacturer's ink washed out, as it should. So that problem was solved. (2) The instructions are less than wonderful. They are fine if you have embroidered before. If you are a beginner, you might want to look at a couple of YouTube videos, or talk to a friend, if you find the instructions unclear.

After trying embroidery for the first time on vacation (and being pretty bad at it), I decided to purchase this kit to give it another shot. I LOVED it! The kit gave me everything I needed and I felt really proud of the results. One thing to note: the directions will not teach you HOW to embroider (they are not very clear), just what type of stitch, color, and number of threads (floss). Honestly, I watched two YouTube videos about basic stitches/needle threading and I was off and running. I think this is the best way to go. Consensus: I will definitely purchase a couple more of these kits! It took me about 4-5 relaxing hours to complete at a snails pace.

Pros: Very cute design, plenty of materials to get that design done with, the scissors in this kit actually cut the thread, not a lot of variety in stitches so you get a lot of practice on them! Cons: Instructions not clear and if you aren't already fairly knowledgeable about embroidery stitches you'll probably have to go to YouTube (I did). It was difficult to get a lot of tension on the hoop using just my fingers, I gave up and got it as tight as I could (wooden hoop with a screw and nut for closure) and would just retighten it and tug the fabric tight again periodically. The only other note is...it's a lot of curves and some of them are on the small side so just be patient with yourself and use smaller stitches to make it look smooth. Like the previous kit I've gotten and tried, it doesn't come with a needle threader so picking one up will make this much much easier for you. If you like the design it's well worth trying even if you're an embroidery newbie like myself. :) (The photo is after I'd removed it from the hoop and put it back into the bag it came in until I can get a frame to display it in so that's why it has Berya showing up over the design.)

I had not embroidered for over 10 years and this was a great project to review and learn a few new stitching techniques. I think for a beginner, the instructions may be a little vague - I supplemented with Toutube videos and have been having a grand time. I really appreciate that there’s enough floss included to allow for mistakes and the snips are a cool accessory.

The pattern is very cute and though I would consider this appropriate for beginners the labels on the directions are wrong. The french knots are mislabeled, there are no directions for the woven wheel stitch, and the satin stitch is labeled as stain stitch. Once you figure this out it is easy to look up online how to do the wagon wheel and based on the photo, obvious that the french knot, not ‘stain stitch’ is the stitch to use for the flower centers and a few random knots.

What a perfect lil embroidery kit! Everything I need with easy instructions. Beautiful fabric and threads are very vibrant. I highly recommend and will purchase more from this company.

Great started kit! You do receive the hoop, cloth with pattern, all the necessary threads, scissors, needles, and directions. It was an easy pattern to learn the basic stitches. I did end up watching how to do one of two on YouTube because it was a little bit easier than reading the directions and the pictures. Overall, very satisfied with the project. I have recommended it to quite a few friends.

It took me about 6 hours to complete this and a little bit of cussing but it wasn't too bad. The printed instructions aren't very clear at all if you don't know anything abput the various kinds of stitches (like me) but there are a ton of blogs and YouTube videos out there that helped. I'm pretty proud of the finished piece, it was a nice way to spend a day when I was snowed in. The little scissors are nice and I had plenty of thread!
