The Ironwood Tree (Spiderwick Chronicles) Hardcover – Deckle Edge, April 1, 2004

This is where another events showing it is different from the movie. Jared faces his shadow of himself. Everyone has his dark side. He has to overcome what he fears. The descriptions, however, were not as vivid as I thought throughout the book, and I hope Jared's shadow has more depth in the final book.

I love this book so much, it’s my favorite in e series, and the book arrived quickly and in great condition!

I think everyone should love this series and if you don't... Well you are totally wrong,I love all the great monsters and stuff! I definitely have to give this a 5-star review,it is so creepy and mysterious at the same time! I would totally be willing to read this series over and over again! I LOVE all the illustrations and cliff hangers there are! This is obviously one of the best books ever!!👍👍👍😄

In the Ironwood Tree Mallory grace discovers boys and is discovered by some boys she is really not very interested in. You will be introduced to Mulgarath the Troll, a kingdom of dwarves living in a supposedly abandoned mine, and a dire plot to... well, I'll let you find out. Needless to say this installment of the Spiderwick Chronicles is as fun as the others if not quite as original with heavy borrowing from a particular folk tale, but what could have been a flaw only adds to the story. Parents, watch out for the sometimes mean repartee between the Grace kids, but rest assured that this modern day fairy tale is definitely worth reading with your kids.

Cute series for kids & adults. Our family enjoyed these over the summer as a read aloud. Quick read. Good pictures. This particular size/hardcover looks nice as a set on the bookshelf.

This book arrived in a timely fashion. This book was in excellent condition for being used. This is a wonderful book and series we are happy to have in our collection. It was a gift for my daughter and she loves the books for the ease of reading and hardcover.

My boys (6 & 9) love these books. I recommend reading the books before the movie. Better yet- skip the movie. It isn't very good at all!

my kids love this series

Me and my boys (age 6 and 8) have been loving reading these together. Good stories, short and easy for a chapter a night reading.My 8 year old would enjoy reading them by himself but my 6 year old struggles with some of the words when reading independently (his reading ability is very average compared with his age-group friends).I was worried they were a bit scary at first for my two, but it takes you just to the edge but brings you back so nothing gets too frightening!

Another great book in the series. The story just keeps getting better, and better, and better. My daughter loves it too!

内容については、ネタバレが怖いので書きません。同じファンタジーとしてのハリー・ポッターと比較して、この作品の優れた点は、装丁のアイデア、状況設定の現代性（家族構成）、キャラクターへの親近感、身近でも起きる可能性、絵が素晴らしい等々、あります。１巻の長さがハリポよりも、かなり短いので、誰でも無理なく、読みとおせます。大人も子供も楽しめるというところは、ハリポも同じ。英語については、一部のファンタジー独特の単語さえ辞書で確認すれば、あとは、わからなくても気にせずに読み飛ばしても影響ありません。派手な動きが少ないということから、地味な感じも受けますが、何度も何度も空想を膨らませながら、読めます。心理描写が少ないのと、絵が素晴らしいので、絵の印象が強烈に頭に残ってしまいます。そういったことが、読み手の空想力を邪魔するという要素もありますが、読んでいる間は、楽しさでワクワクさせてくれます。本を閉じた後に、自分で物語を自由に飛躍させて、遊んでみても、いいかもしれません。ハリポのように、大ブレイクは、しないと思いますが、読んだ人には、きっと忘れられない素敵な一冊になると思います。私は、トレーディング・カードも買ってしまいました。ちょうどいいファンタジーとでも言うと、一番わかりやすいかも。
