MY DOG LOVES THESE!!!!! I asked my vet about giving my dog, who is about 5 years old and weighs about 35 lbs. He has a regular diet and is very healthy. I was concerned about him being given rawhide treats by a family member and he had had a bad episode at home with bowel trouble and I had to give him a dose of a product similar to Miralax to get things going again (based on vet directions over the phone) from regular rawhide treats. The vet explained that normal rawhide is very difficult by normal digestion by normal dogs. And as they age, it becomes even more problematic. He suggested the Milk Bone Chews in moderation for this type of chewing treat instead of rawhide. He explained these are made of chicken and small size, not at all made of actual rawhide which is not digestible by normal digestion of a dog within reason. All of this must be checked with your vet and is pet-dependent. Giving a dog a rawhide of a large size a dog will eat it till gone not stopping until it is gone. Particularly if they have another dog in the household they will devour it, not worried about "getting very sick".

I have 2 dogs who are both about 50-55 pounds. One is 8yo and the other is 10yo. They aren’t power chewers, they are pretty gentle about it, and these bones last them about 30 minutes. My one dog has some teeth issues and these are soft enough that they don’t hurt her teeth, but tough enough that they don’t just crumble. They don’t get those sharp edges that other brands get that make their mouth bleed either. I will continue getting these!

My service dog is a little red dachshund. The most affectionate little dog I have ever known. He is diabetic and needs 5 units of insulin twice daily after eating. He jumps up in my lap waiting for his shot and I give him one of these. He absolutely loves them.

Our 5-year-old mini-mini-goldendoodle Hershey absolutely loves these chews. He has great fun carrying one all around the house before hiding. After a bit of play, he will chew it right up. It doesn't last very long, but long enough to be a great treat. They do make his poo soft and very light colored so we usually limit him to one or two a week.
