You Are a Goddess: Working with the Sacred Feminine to Awaken, Heal and Transform Kindle Edition

-haven’t read the whole book yet, but I find this part hard to get past-Sophie Bashford does a great job explaining the importance and need for the divine feminine to return + the need for the balance of feminine and masculine energies within both ourselves and our world. However, in the beginning, she describes the apparent main qualities of each energy. I recognized it immediately. She’s referencing the qualities that were cultivated by very early American feminists and are rooted in racism, transphobia and discrimination upon the non-binary population. This was actually where the ideology that there are only two sexes actually began. And the white race was considered to be the “better and more civilized” race because of their “ability to maintain sexual differentiation.” Most original cultures, teachings, and spiritualities (to which Sophie Bashford is trying to teach about) were thought of as primitive and less civilized because they believed sex & gender were non-conforming and indistinct.If you’re looking for a pick-me-up or motivational book and are a beginner, then this book might be for you.If you already have some knowledge on the subject, this book may not be for you. Some of the stuff she discusses seems out of place, or like she just did minimal research on topics she addresses. (Energies, history, goddesses, etc)Not sure if I’m going to finish it if there’s already a few red-flags in it and I’m only on page 30. :/

This is an amazing book. It takes you into the realm of your inner psyche, and unlocks inner doors you did not know ever existed. A fantastic ride and a journey worth taking.It was and still is transformative for me. Deep from the inside.I loved it so much that I got several copies for Xmas gifts.

Has to be one of the best spiritual books I've read. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. The author successfully integrates goddesses from varying cultures into a profound educational and therapeutic sequence. This book has initiated my healing process, and is one I'll be referring back to. Anyone interested in feminine based spirituality needs to read this.

Reading this makes one admit "I AM a Goddess! and that this life force exists within all of us women. Awakening the Divine Feminine, on a personal inner journey, igniting spiritual growth while discovering the talents skills and use of intuition working with each Goddess creates positive self healing and empowerment connecting us to who we really are.on all levels, A great tool to master the Goddess within!.

I first listened to her book on Audible. And I loved it so much I wanted to have the hard copy on hand so that I can easily go back to the mediations and practices. This book could be supportive for women of all ages. It helps you feel whole again xox

Could not connect. She was going in spiral circles over and over again trying to explain to the reader that if you failed by the norms of the society, that is your goddess calling on you. She picked 9 goddesses... Mary Magdalene and Lilith being two of them. Bazaar choices to say the least. She plucked Aphrodite from the Greek Pantheon, Kali from Hinduism and Virgin Mary from Christianity among her other choices... As if she decided to write her book while drinking coffee at Starbucks and scanning glossy covers of top sellers at Barnes & Noble.I saw wish I could return this book, but my dog chewed up the cover. I guess I will use the pages for some Pinterest crafts. Can’t subject another soul to the misery of reading this snooze fest.

Love this book. The style in which it is written is one that instantly connects me to the author and the subject matter. My friends tell me the audio book is even better; I like turning pages and marking them as I like. I strongly recommend this book to any woman who is on a path of self discovery, enlightenment or spirituality in general. It's beautiful.

This is an absolutely beautiful transformative book. I’m still working with it and taking my time. Each chapter is an exploration, a revealing gift. I don’t usually write book reviews, but I had to do it for this one!While I was reading this book I actually felt like it was “alive”... and in the last chapter I got the confirmation that what I was feeling was right...It’s hard to put into words what it’s like to read it, as the book itself is magical and the feelings it awakend inside myself are different than anything I’ve felt before.I have been following Sophie’s work for a few years now, and even attended one of her workshops, so I thought that the book will not bring something new, but I was so wrong... this book speaks to your soul, and brings with it understandings that probably our souls have been waiting to receive for lifetimes.It is by far the most profound book that I have ever read and probably the most precious gift that the Goddess could give us, through this wonderful woman that is Sophie.I’m humbled and forever grateful for being able to read it.I now started listening to the meditations in the audio version of the book. Wonderful!Even though I read this book in only a few days, as if my soul was hungry to receive this “nurturing food”, I know that it’s a book I will keep next to me my whole life, as it’s teachings will come to different levels of understanding every time I will read it.

This book starts with very powerful energy. It will open you up to your true potential and assist with helping to clear old patterns and to find your true purpose in this life time. I am half way through reading the book and already I know I will be allowing the words to guide me and assist me to open myself back up to my goddess energy. This book will be with me as a teacher and to help me remember what I have forgotten fromPast lives. Thank you Sophie 💖

You Are a Goddess is a book that should be read by every woman on the planet. Sophie Bashford is a gifted writer and I have never felt such energy from a book as this one. I have actually bought 5 copies and gave them as gifts. Do yourself a favour and buy this book!!!!

Felt that I'd seen/read/done this all before, and it's all been done before. A bit deja vu really.Wasn't terrible, wasn't great, just wasn't for me. I question the "bed-hopping" from goddess to goddess, but you know, each to their own. I just felt there was nothing new here, nothing innovative, and nothing that inspired me to embark on a new journey. I was, if truth be told, more than a bit bored with it.

This book is an inspiration. Sophie describes her young life brought up - as we all were - in a world designed by and dominated by men. And we could only survive by behaving like men. Most of the time I said nothing because if I had said anything I would have offended the system in which we lived. Oh yes and I have met many ghastly women who couldn't hack it and survived by being totally repulsive. But this half world has run out of steam and Sophie takes us step by step stage by stage upwards - leaving the past behind- re-connecting with the huge areas of ourselves which we had had suppressed by others. What a world she opens up for us. So if we go with her on this journey - and we would be foolish not to - we come to terms with the frustrations of the past: reach a plateau which is now -and then continue into the future which offers us great riches. The journey is written with great clarity and humanity also understanding. Yes, I have read it once but I know I will go back and read it again because it is just so amazing. I have now bought this in paperback. I want to reread - dip in to different chapters and just cannot do this on kindle. Yes kindle is useful but does not replace traditional books.
