LOCK-STOCK-BARREL 3-Mode Distortion Pedal

I picked this pedal up for experimentation. I am purely a hobbyist. From a non-technical or professional view point, this is a simple and fun pedal. I wanted it for some different voicing options for my Blackstar HT-5R.For gain stacking purposes, I think it pairs well with my combo's overdrive. It also sounds fine to my ear through the clean channel. I did not have any difficulty setting the gain and effects level to unity level with the rest of my rig.The pedal is advertised as offering a similar voicing to a high headroom amp. Obviously my combo already started off at very low head room, so I can't offer any real opinion on its effectiveness. It also includes an tone knob which varies the EQ. I found it decent for broad changes, rather than fine tuning over the first few hours of playing. For my setup, my actual results are three distortion voicings which a more informed audiophile could pick apart.Overall, great price for a simple experimentation distortion pedal. When I received it, I found it on the ground, not in the packaging (which was in the mailbox). I wiped it off, plugged it in, and it worked just fine. I started with modest expectations, which it met.

Inexpensive, but it's a gain monster if you let it be. Great separation between modes with a wonderful sag or nice tight buzz. Excellent layers of harmonic tones in the distortion. VERY responsive to your guitar's volume control!!!! I left my entire pedal board at home last gig, used a snark tuner and this pedal to the PA for solid cleans... Nailed IT!! oh... and it's less than $50!!!

Average sound and lo quality materials. Mine came with lose screws.

Awesome pedal at a great price! You get three distinctly different distortion choices, as well as the usual Gain, Level and Tone controls. I bought a Five O'Clock Fuzz pedal from Outlaw and have been a fan ever since!

The three way switch for the different settings is super glitchy. Won't get a sound some times and I think that I can probably just get sound out of two of the three settings. Once I get sound it's pretty good. However, It's very noisy when activated and not playing. Haven't bothered sending it back because I gambled and lost on a cheap deal. Not sure I would buy again.

Great item hard to beat for the price.

This distortion is very versatile and small eough to fit in my crowded pedalboard!
