Disappointing
My son loved the movie and was so excited to get this book but he was extremely disappointed that basically shows just the very beginning of the film despite the way the book advertises different. He won’t read it now. :(

Only the beginning?
After watching the film I was excited to introduce this character to my 3 yr old. However, this disappoints because while it does a decent job introducing Miles as he discovers his powers... it does not much else. They spend a whole page on him writing graffiti with his uncle and then one on meeting Gwen, but then just as things are supposed to get exciting, it just ends. No other characters, no villain, no mention of a Spiderverse at all. My kid didn't care for it. I would have preferred more of an exploration of the world. Or a kid-friendly synopsis of the entire film. Just Ok.

Only one of the 6 Spider-People on the cover are actually in this book.
Look, this is a perfectly enjoyable book. It details the events of the first act of the Spider-verse film. Why, oh why, then, are the five OTHER Spider-People depicted on the cover if they aren't in the book? If the promise of those characters weren't there, there would be nothing wrong with this item. But when my 5-year-old read it, and NONE of the other Spider-People were there, he said to me (literal quote here), "Dad, why did you only buy me half the book?" The only reason he felt it was incomplete was because there were other Spider-People on the cover who never showed up. So just be aware of that when you get it.

Send me the rest of the story please...
Story and illustrations are great, but why is this only the beginning of the story? Did I miss something in the description that tells you that you don't get the whole story...? Does the cover say "Part 1 of x" or something? Did 2/3 of my book get eaten by your dog?

Bargain Price for High Quality Product
My 5 yr. old was SO happy with his very own comic book! His older siblings are always borrowing comics from the library. He carries it all over and sleeps with it every night. The good, sturdy paper quality is just perfect for all that his book endures. The wording is perfect for his reading level, and the high-gloss images made his older siblings want to read it, as well, even though we've seen the movie several times. We'll be ordering more like these (T'Challa you're next)!

awesome
was a kid, my first flashlight fascination soon developed into wiring electronic circuits and messing with LEDs. When I set out, at age 10, to build a robot, the first item I included was the lights. By the time high school came around, I was studying laser physics and wishing I could afford an actual Laser. I still remember the day I got to play with my first laser–it was an obsolete helium-neon beast that had been donated to our school. By today’s standards, it was quite primitive. But it would

Disappointing
My son loves spiderman and really wanted to see the new movie, which I don't think he's ready for. I thought this book would be a good bridge but I was wrong. It's so much about his life outside of being a spiderman and just wasn't very interesting. I returned the book and will wait for other options in the spider-verse to present themselves.
