They have the consistency of a regular playing card with a decorative back. I used sharpies on the cards. Let them dry a few seconds before you put them together in a stack while making them. They can smear. I’ve had my oracle deck for a few years and I use them everyday. I have purchased them several times.

These are the perfect cards to make your own tarot or oracle deck. I always have a good time making them on my free time. Sharpie markers do work the best on them. I just wish I could find more cards like this with it's own back design. I've bought these a few times already. It's also a shame, I'd be watching videos on Youtube and seeing people just waste the space on them with writing only one or two words at a time on them or being lazy, when you can go all out and get creative like write a title on the top, draw an image or a symbol to go with it in the middle, and a brief description about it on the bottom. Don't waste perfectly good cards by being lazy like those people on Youtube. Let your imagination run wild. You won't regret it.

Such a great product. Cards came as described. Blank and sturdy. Ready to create my own deck. Definitely recommend.

I used these to make a homemade Tarot deck. Perfect size and weight and the pattern on the back is the same as a Rider-Waite-Smith deck I had back in the 80s (or very, very similar) so it gives me a good amount of nostalgia. These shuffle well. I made my deck using black sharpie and colored pencil (the pencil takes several runs to get onto the card and is VERY light, but does eventually get on there and stays just fine). They do have a coating, so you're fairly limited with what can go on them. Alcohol inks will work as well, but will dry very quickly so it's hard to get them to look decent (for me anyway). All in all, I'm very pleased with these cards and they worked really well (better than I thought they would, actually). Will be buying these again for future prototype decks!

When I first found these cards online I was a bit worried about the patchy design on the front. I'm not really fond of the blue diamonds and stripes that can be a bit vibrating to the eye. What you cant see from the product photograph, are the subtle black lines that are also included in the pattern. Once you look at them in person, that vibrational quality does dim down a bit. (Its not quite so hard on the eyes when you see them in person.)The size is perfect - just as a Tarot card should be. They have a good weight to them and that's important as I wanted the deck to "feel" right.My only real bug with them is that the back (where you would draw on) has a "slight" coating that makes it a tiny bit difficult to draw on. I work with graphite (Pencil) so I am a stickler for shading. So for me, this kind of bugs me as I can't get that deep detail I would on a normal piece of paper.But that's small potatoes really when you look at the price and the quality of the cards themselves. There are certainly other options for adding designs to these cards such as paint, coloured pencils, glued items and fabrics (if you dont mind a bit of a bulky card to work with) and other great things you can accomplish.For the price and the quality? I'd certainly buy them again. In the future? I would love to see more choices in the colours and patterns tho.A great buy.. fast shipping from Amazon and perfect for being creative and adding your own designs.

I thought I already wrote my review, but I’m obviously not so here we go. These cars are very nice to have, their blank so that you can write your own version of your Taro that you have in your mind so very nice.
