Beautiful written and a fantastic way to start cultivating a love of the Lord in your child. It is also so wonderful to see a child of colour as the main illustrated character of the book. Regardless of race, this delightful and heartwarming book speaks to every child (in fact it speaks to every adult too!) but I feel so encouraged seeing diversity and representation in books of this kind. It is so important. There are not enough books like these out there and it simply makes my heart sing to see this. I feel so happy when I read this loving, joyful, Godly book to my mixed race son who sees someone who looks like him and mummy on the page. I am buying a bunch of these as gifts to give friends (both of colour and white) to expose their children to the LOVE of God and to diversity. God loves us ALL. We need to see that as children so that is sows the seeds of love and acceptance in us, for all races, from an early age.
