The best
The only socks Ill ever need. I have 7 or 8 pairs and they are all I wear. Its truly disappointing when I have to wear a different pair of socks. Comfortable, warm in the winter and cool in the summer, keep my feet dry, and does a phenomenal job at preventing my shoes and boots from developing bad smells. Even after a 12 hour shift wearing these in my boots I can take them off and smell them and they smell fine. I dont know how it works but they are worth every penny. Been wearing them for 6-8 months washing after every use and they show no signs of wear; like new.

Best Socks in the World - Made in Vermont
This is my 1st pair of Darn Tough Boot Socks. I already have two pair of the Crew Socks. They are not cheap $$, but you get what you pay for. The crew socks are great for my light hiking boots and approach shoes. The boot socks are a perfect fit for my 10" steel toed work boots. Padded in all the right places. What makes these socks a real winner though is the blend of materials they are made from. I can wear the socks in leather work boots and my feet stay dry at 90 Deg. temps. and warm at 10 Deg. temps all day. Neat color combinations too."Made in Vermont" on the tag has always been a symbol of quality to me as a Native Vermonter. Lately, it's been a bit over-used though and some products are just... meh? Darn Tough socks however are the kind of quality product that Vermonters can be proud of and I hope you guys and gals keep making them here for a long time. They are kind of like the Vermont equivalent of LL Bean's Maine Hiking Boot. Recommended!JimmyUpdate: Having used these socks for an extended period of time I am leaning strongly toward the boot socks vs. the crew for any boot 8" or taller. Having several inches of sock above the boot top helps you to keep them cinched up properly. The crew sock and an 8" boot (work boot, hiking boot) will leave you having to make more adjustments during the course of the day, whereas, the boot top size sock keeps them from diving down into the boot and everything seems to stay in-place.Great socks, I hardly wear my Thorlos anymore.

Nice warm quality sock
These socks get great reviews so I decided to see what the fuss was all about.Well…they’re socks. Not exactly exciting, lolBut they are nice well made wool blend socks and they do a very good job of keeping my feet warm on this cold Winter nights and mornings. They’re definitely warmer than my usual cotton Dickie’s socks (which are pretty good) do. I’ve had them about a week now and have worn them multiple times (which I never do with cotton socks since they absorb odors faster) before I wash them just to see how well they held up.So far so good, and very little odor (been airing them out near a window in between wears).I walk at least 3 miles a day, usually on easy hiking trails and in neighborhood parks. Nothing crazy but I do run through socks faster than a lot of people do, so I’ll be curious to see how well these hold up. Hopefully a long time, but maybe it won’t matter since this Vermont company has a great replacement guarantee.$27 or whatever it was I paid does seem a bit pricey though, so I just bought a pair of SmartWool socks for just a little less since they come in a bright blue color I like. We’ll see how the 2 brands compare after they arrive and I have some more time to get used to wearing the both of them.I don’t think you can go wrong buying 1 pair of these just to see how you like them…besides it’s good to buy Made in the USA sometimes :-)

The best trail socks ever made. Best socks period.
I know socks isn't as sexy a product to think about when it comes to camping/hiking/bushcraft but they're very important in your gear and these are the best trail socks I have ever seen/had. They keep my feet warm in the winter and cool in the summer, they don't absorb water/moisture, they dry quickly, and they don't smell no matter how hard you use them! They also hold well and hold up well over time, unlike many lesser quality socks I've tried over the years. Plus I'm a size 16 and it's very rare to find socks that actually fit my gigantic feet so that was a revelation all it's own. I know they're expensive but they're worth every penny and they'll last you so long that they'll probably be less expensive in the long run. You're feet have to carry you your whole life, treat them right with some of these. You won't regret it.

Best wool socks to date
I have had these in my Amazon cart for a while and never pulled the trigger because of the price. Started a new job where I was going to be around moisture quite often and working with boots on daily. Pulled the trigger and so happy I did! These things are super super comfy and most definitely air themselves out as a wall suction! The only downside to them is that they do fit snug and tend to leave impressions around my ankle. The socks are Just below my calf and fit perfectly with my high ankle boots. Hopefully do not need to use the warranty but very curious to see how they actually handle that side of things! Four-star only for them being snug.

Best Socks for boots
These socks feel extremely comfortable, they fit and stretch nice around the calf. Compared to wrangler, they may be more expensive but it’s definitely worth it. They have solved my blister problems I’ve had with my police boots, would definitely recommend as the company does have a pretty nice customer service system.

Great Long Lasting Good Looking Socks
I have had Darn Tough Socks for a number of years & the first pair that I bought many years ago are still in use … I am more than happy with these latest red/blue hikers that I purchased a while back now - good length & some stretch, comfortable … they are expensive but worth the $$$ in my opinion.

Darn Tough is Damn Awesome
I decided to order 1 size up when I kept reading about Darn Tough's "performance fit". They fit like compression socks and are very snug. Ordering a larger size will not give you any extra room in the leg portion, only in the foot. My heel doesn't fit exactly where it should, but it's ok. The density of the weave in the heel is tighter than its surrounding areas in order to take the stress of weight distribution through your heel. Even if you normally don't wear compression socks, it would be a good idea to buy a pair of donning gloves. The grippy palms of compression sock gloves makes it much easier to pull the socks into place without digging your fingertips or fingernails into the fabric and maybe damaging them. If you have larger legs or someone who has larger calves, Darn Tough may not be the socks for you. Merino wool is truly an impressive textile and Darn Tough socks are all they appear to be...and more. They take a bit of adjustment to get used to their "performance fit" and the fact that they are not made of 100% cotton like most of us are used to, but so far I have worn them for 3 days in a row for 8 hours a day and my feet have stayed comfortable & completely dry. Only once I took them off that I became aware that the material felt moist to the touch and practically dried totally out in 30 minutes or so... and still smelled like I just opened the packaging for the first time. Absolutely remarkable and Dearborn Supply is one of the bonafide dealers of Darn Tough Socks on Amazon according to their company website.P.S. I purchased a 2nd pair, this time a pair of the charcoal Standard Lifestyle cushion mid-calf sock in size Large. They are more appropriate to my foot size and are a bit easier to put on because of the greater amount of Spandex content and are thinner than the Darn Tough boot style hikers I bought in XL.
