the Go-To Guide
This is far and away the handiest, easiest, most user friendly guide to finding everything you wanted to know about vitamin supplements. Alphabetized and categorized, look up any vitamin or mineral and find facts, benefits, natural sources, deficiencies, cautions, drug interactions and, often, personal advise presented in concise, easy to understand language. Some herbs included, too, along with a chapter of commonly asked questions and answers. I have every edition of this book that has been published and each newly revised edition was responsibly and thoroughly updated. Truly a 5-star book, I am deducting 1-star because this 2011 edition is long overdue to be updated/revised and when it is I will absolutely buy it.

Vitamin Bible
I love this book. It has hidden gems of knowledge. I have a hard copy (older paperback version paperback) that I found at a thrift store & wanted a digital copy to use for searching for key words that I can highlight. When I looked at the sample, the table of contents was not visible. I decided to buy the digital version and look through it to see if the table was hiding: it was. I couldn't find it by "thumbing through" the electronic pages. I found it only by using the search function. Strange. I've never encountered this before in an e-book.It seems that most of the remedies rely on B vitamins and chelated vitamins are what the author recommends for better bioavailability.I appreciate the herbal recommendations in this book and consider it a nice addition to my collection of herb remedy related books. But it is far from comprehensive in that regard.Chapter X is my favorite with the list of symptoms and remedies. It's pretty straightforward. It's delivered with no fluff, just the facts, ma'am.

Dissatisfied With Overall "Vitamin Bible".🤕
I was really disappointed with this purchase. It was confusing as I attempted to use the index to look up information. Everytime a word was used in a paragraph or in a subject the page was listed, causing the reader to think the information that you wanted was there. Nope, if you looked up say , I don't know... potassium several pages might be listed then you go the the page and it's a word in a group or a sentence. The print is small. I could not find which vitamins interacted negatively or positively together. I was hoping to find which might interact badly with medication. Just not a well thought out material for a reader wanting more than surface information. It's not much of a go to resource considering the title, "Vitamin Bible"😷😒😔

Too wordy and not clearly written in separate categories
Didn’t like the excessive rambling words and non-category bulletless subject matters. It could be improved by more separation of different vitamins, uses, benefits and side effects. Adding images of herbs and similar potency with drugs would be even more helpful. Thought book would break it down to understand the reasons people used vitamins and if herbs replace them, how they might affect people on medicines of similar properties. Example ; herb plant ginkgo biloba and it’s properties to the medicine coumarin aka Coumadin which increase non clotting factors to blood.

Decent TINY script
Pretty well set up - better have 20/20 vision because this is some tiny script though.

A Must have Nutrition reference book
As always, Earl Mindell is the go-to-guy for nutrition information.I have been a follower of his advice since the early 1980s and have never been steered wrong. Many of the top quality nutrition supplement company's based their formulas on Mindell's recommendations. Such as the Great Earth Vitamins, which typically the upper income people purchase.

good info, lost too much content
better have 20/20 vision very very small print, book too thick to keep open. Too much info for all the supplements, honestly don't really understand which I should be taking for what issue. Please simplify. I listened to him on coast coast am. He's good, he mention Astaxanthin, for skin and will see a difference in 30days, mine less than 30 days. when a NP tells you skin looks good, amazing results for me. Im going to hopefully find one of his books maybe easier for "dummies" (me)

The ultimate guide to vitamins, minerals and nutrition
This is the ultimate encyclopaedia on vitamins, minerals and general nutrition. I’ve always wanted to know why vitamins are so important, how they help the body, and even what they actually are. This book answered all my questions and has really helped me understand the differences between the vitamins and how they interact with the body. For instance, we’ve all heard of vitamins A, B, C, D and E, but did you know there’s also a vitamin P, T and U! This is such an extensive book that every page is packed full of interesting facts, it really gives a fascinating insight into the world of nutrition.I actually read the book page to page but it doesn’t have to be read this way, it can also be used as a reference book to dive into when you want to find out about a certain vitamin or supplement. But not only does the book explain how vitamins work, it goes into depth about what types of food provide what vitamins, what quantity and balance you need of vitamins, and the important role that minerals have in metabolising vitamins. There are sections of the book dedicated to what types of vitamins are needed to treat certain ailments and how vitamins can help all aspects of your health, from alleviating full-blown illnesses to coping with stress, getting an energy boost, having healthy looking skin, even losing weight. The book contains a wealth of information about supplements, what to look for in a supplement, how to tell the quality of supplements, what doses to take and in what combination they should be taken. It also includes really useful information on mineral supplements and amino acid supplements and the author makes many great suggestions about effective nutritional regimens. This is definitely the sort of book you can go back to time and again and always learn something new. The book really helps de-mystify the world of vitamins and is great reference for anyone interested in health and nutrition.

I bought the original and this one in paperback and now online. It is my bible for all nutritional needs. I use it for each ailment, disease or illness and everyday life. I have recommended it to all persons. I think each person should have their own copy and maybe another to lend.
