I'm an insulator, I use a 10in straight single edge knife to cut fiberglass. This causes my knife to dull after only a few cuts.I just pull my knife across the sharpener a couple of times, and it's razor sharp again.Best sharpener I have ever had !!!

This tool is pretty basic. It gets knives sharp as hell. I don't know if it's bc my knives are old and dull or what, but the sharpener puts almost a fine serrated edge on the blades. I wouldn't use it on good expensive knives but it works great for cheapo ones I have.
