I like it! Fits my yeti, keys, snacks, and more. Not too big, perfect for short hikes.

I spent a long time looking for a decent small backpack to use for things like short hikes, going to the zoo or amusement parks, and other outings where I might want to carry a few "extras" but don't need a bulky bag. This backpack has a casual enough design while still being comfortable and durable.The zipper on the smaller front pocket gets hard to pull on when closing the last few inches. I've spent a lot of time looking at it to see if something is getting caught in it but can't figure it out. The zipper pulls don't seem like they're at risk of falling off even with some forceful tugging, but it is inconvenient and I worry about the zipper itself holding up for the long term. I've been considering asking for a replacement bag since it seems like this isn't a common issue.I really hate that the buckle on the chest strap is bright orange. I don't think the color has any impact as a safety feature, and it's SO obnoxious and ugly. It's a shame that it detracts so much from an otherwise attractive bag.Overall I'm pleased with the product this company designed, and I look forward to see what they have to offer in the future!

I originally purchased this to use as a minimalist pack while foraging for mushrooms - and for this, it works great. Had I stopped here, this would be “five stars”. But it now also gets used when I hike with my wife and carry water for her. I have issues with water bottles. The only bottles I have found to fit the external mesh pockets are slim-line bottles that are 2” in diameter and hold only 8 ounces each. I have tried numerous other “supposed” slim bottles and they either don’t fit or they stretch the mesh to its limit and press into the capacity of the main compartment. The Seller says slim 20 ounce bottles will fit - I haven’t found ANY bottle of that capacity to fit without really straining the mesh/elastic and infringing on the main compartment capacity. Two standard or larger capacity bottles do easily fit into the main compartment. The zipper of the main compartment is a little tough to work when zipping around the corners. Another word of caution - I am average in size - 6’ 0” and 180 pounds. When I use the buckle to connect the shoulder straps at my chest, it just barely fits me when adjusted as wide as possible (these are the chest straps with the buckle that doubles as a whistle). Otherwise, this is a well made pack with great storage capacity (for being a mini). For the price (and to get five stars) the mesh water bottle pockets should hold standard bottles.

Great small day bag! Plenty of clips and things to hook and hang things. Light and comfortable. Rather narrow, does not fit a full sized notebook.

A 10 ounce juice bottle fits in the side mesh pockets nice. You can go taller with the bottle but not much wider. Another customer mentioned his orange whistle didn’t work. Cover the little hole on back and blow…It works great. There is a strap across the back that adjust a bit. This is not elastic and has a little reflector strip on it. I usually won’t be bringing an IPad (8.5 inch by 11 inch IPad does not fit the padded pocket inside) but fits in the big compartment if I did want to bring it with me. I love it!! I am 63 and this is light enough for me to use. Also remember if you put water bottles in the side pockets it takes away space from the inside compartment. I have used it for a 5 mile bike ride today to test it out and it looked good and did what it was meant to do…bring my necessities. I will be using it for hikes and day trips also. I bought the Heather Grey to use in multiple situations but I am really wanting the Teal too. My way of justifying the second purchase would be so that my grandkids can use one if we head out. It’s great!!

After buying one for myself, I went back and bought some as gifts for fellow day hiker birthdays. Quality product!

Since COViD related lock-downs went in place, I've been doing a lot more hiking (3 to 8 miles per outing) in the area national park. My 8L sling wasn't cutting it as the weather warmed and I wanted more water on the trail. so I purchased this specifically for these hikes and it has been great.It is well made, and is just the perfect size. I can fit either a water bladder or two 1.5L Nalgine bottles in the main pack. If I pack the bladder or large (1.5L) and small (1L) bottles, then I've room for a snack, basic first aid kit and glasses in a hard shell case. The outside puches each can hold a 1/2 L Nalgine for quick access which is convenient. The smaller outer compartment is great for phone, wallet, keys; I put my phone and wallet in a hard shell, water tight case, just for added security and it fits with room to spare.The chest strap is nice, and I really like the fact that the pack stays in place without having to have a waist strap.Quality is great, and I couldn't be happier.The one thing that I wish it had: an intrnal loop in the smaller outside pouch to clip my keys to. I've always felt more secure if my keys were clipped such that they couldn't accidentally drop out unnoticed. The lack of a clip loop isn't enough for me to drop the raiting, but it was something that I'd hoped to find when I looked.There is a "security" pocket with a zipper which rests against your back to prevent someone from unzipping it while in a crowd. Not something I need for trail hiking, but it would be nice if I were taking this out more as a day pack in town. My one thought on this is that the zipper should zip in the reverse direction -- on mine, up is closed. I don't think that the zipper might travel down, but I'd be less worried about it accidentally opening due to gravity if it was closed in the "down" position. Again, not enough to lower the rating, but a suggestion for improvement.Would I recommend this: absolutely!

Nice little backpack, very slim. The pockets on the side are small, they don't seem to hold much, at least they don't hold our water bottles. I love the size. It can fit the two adults as well as a 4 year old without looking out of place. Downfall was that it was only used a couple of times and wasn't even packed very full or heavily and the front strap started coming out of the seam. Unfortunately will need to be returned.

used the backpack during a rain shower and the contents were dampshame because the backback is really comfortable to wear and a good size

A brilliant, lightweight bag great for day trips with 5 year old. The perfect size for mum/daughter days when Dad is at work and not around to do the ‘donkey work’!

So pleased with this, it looks smart and will be great for everyday use, it’s well made with convenient pockets .
