Delta Carbona Carbona Biodegradable Oven Cleaner, 16.8 Fluid Ounce

It had been a while since I cleaned my oven. More than a while. We were putting our house on the market, and I needed a clean oven. Ours is not self cleaning (it's IKEA and not at all old, modern stainless steel, 5 burner, gas) so I have to manually clean the racks and oven. The door especially needed cleaning, as we broil steak a couple times a week when we're unable to use the grill.My husband tried the cleaner out and told me it was junk. He didn't like it, and wanted to try a traditional one. I can't stand the smell of the high chemical stuff, so I gave this a go. I'm not sure if he didn't read the directions? Maybe he didn't shake it or use a scrubby sponge. Maybe he didn't rinse with warm/hot water. I don't know. Whatever he didn't do, it made a difference. I thought this stuff worked great! It barely smells, and I only left it on for somewhere between 4-10 minutes, depending on how thick the oil and grease buildup was. The Carbona did an excellent job of loosening the grease everywhere. I used a brilla pad for some of the heaviest parts, and a regular sponge, rough and soft side, for the rest.I put a little elbow into it, but if I hadn't let my oven go for so long (probably 6-8 months) this stuff would have done a much more efficient job. It's an oven cleaner, not a miracle worker. Overall very pleased. My oven looks awesome.

Even though this spray bottle was sealed in a plastic envelope it leaked all over inside. So the product was wasted. I have not tried yet. Lost my desire to use it.

It works! I have a 5 year old oven I use at least 5 days a week. It has been cleaned once through the auto oven cleaning. But I have never scrubbed it because I didn't want to use the toxic smell oven cleaners. I tried this one since it says it's at least biodegradable. I usually use Method/Seventh Generation/Branch Basics for cleaners, so I have been putting this off until I could find something that didn't seem as lethal at least in smell. I've tried baking soda, Bar Keepers Friend, Bon Ami, everything. Nothing, including the auto oven cleaning, was getting the grime out of the oven. THIS DID! I sprayed it very liberally, left it for 4 hours with the oven shut, and then started scrubbing with a *steel wool* scrubbing pad. It also worked on the oven racks! I took each of them out and scrubbed the racks individually. It doesn't look as perfect as it did new 5 years ago, but that's mainly because I missed some spots when cleaning. After scrubbing it, I wiped it down with a wet cloth. Then, I wiped it well with water, and THEN sprayed it with Method All Purpose cleaner. Very pleased. Will use again.

And you have to use some real elbow grease. That’s my only complaint. But I did like that it was odorless and got the job done after two applications.

Haven’t used this yet, but ordered it as a friend said she loves it so much she wrote a letter to the company. That’s a pretty good review so I’m going to try it and do a follow up review

This Carbona product is meant for blood stains but you cannot use it on anything you don't have a backing for. I had 3 small stains on a mattress and it would not work since i could not put a piece of fabric under it. It won't work on mattresses at all. ---FALSE ADVERTISING!!!

I am happy to say this worked very well with some elbow grease which is okay since I never find these fragrance free products work as well as the stinking perfumey ones. I left it sit for a few days and used some scotch bright pads and a razor blade when necessary. We are very sensitive to chemicals this was the first time in years that I had found something/anything that worked so the oven was very very dirty. (I don't even want to say how many years old the dirty was.) This did have a slight smell so I opened the window for a while especially when I sprayed it but once you close the oven door it seems to diminish.

Oh my word! I love this stuff! I sprayed it on and let it set for four hours and was able to wipe off all of the junk! We don't eat processed food so we cook all of our meals and we use our oven A LOT! And it was gross! And I couldn't find anything that didn't almost kill me when I used it that actually worked. Until this! And it didn't bother me at all physically at all while I was using it. My eyes didn't burn and my lungs didn't burn. What a blessing!
