Water Resources Practice Problems

I wanted to like this book, but it just wasn't overly helpful for me in my studying process. I do not like the format of the questions and I despise the way that the questions are set up in the book. Let me explain: I prefer books that have space to work the problem directly below so that I don't have a billion loose sheets of paper floating around, this book squeezes as many questions on the same sheet (an average of 3) leaving absolutely no room to work the problem. As for the question format, it is not anything like the PE Exam, which is the main reason I ordered this book - to get practice working exam style problems. I do have to take some of the blame for that since I had seen that the questions weren't exam-type, but I didn't expect them to be quite this "given" "find" style.I will say that this is good in that it gives you practice on metric units, which I didn't necessarily see on any other practice problems that I encountered. That said, I don't recall any problems in SI units from the exam (I took it 4 days ago) so I don't know that that would be enough motivation to purchase this book.

This book is a great resource for studying for the PE. It does not contain water treatment or wastewater topics, like I had hoped, but it does cover groundwater, hydrology, open channel flow, pumps, and fluid statics and dynamics. The questions are multiple choice similar to the PE, except they list the variables instead of presenting them in a written question. The solutions are detailed and explicit as well.

Very helpful and informative for the exam. I recommend.

Good for Water PM of PE

I bought a lot of practice books for the PE. This one I found to be especially helpful.

Great book

For $24.95, this is an incredible resource. It was more helpful for water resources material than the PPI practice problems/test material was for me.
