The pump works but it leaks because it's poorly made. Spend the extra cash and get something better built.

Priming
If this pumps lever won't prime. You need to bump the engine with the starter. It is driven by the cam. If the lever has no resistance, the cam is linned up and pushing on the plunger.

The primer lever would not pull fuel from the tank, a necessity on a diesel. Sent it back
