As with any hat, it will need time to stretch to your head size/shape. This one did well for me. I'm a bit more at the brow than I am at the ears. I wear it all the time in warm weather. I got a hat stretcher and trimmed it specifically for this hat, but haven't needed to use it except for a couple times when it was new. The hat has held. The band occasionally falls off, but I plan to sew a few threads to keep it on. It has even held up in occasional rain, although I am generally careful and try to not let it get too wet. Overall, very pleased, and would get another.

I ordered a medium hat which measured 54 cm. That is the low end of small. I wear a 57.5 (7 1/8) and this hat wasn't even close. I decided to return this product and will find a store that sells hats. Buying on line is a pain!Other than the size, I really like the hat. It is very stiff but will probably mold a little with a little hot water sprayed on the brim.

Looks even more handsome and is very well made. The only thing that worried me was the packaging wasn't very protective at all. The hat could have easily become a pancake in the box during the season of an influx of mail. Mine had a bent area that was luckily easy to bend back in shape. Phew!

I usually wear a 7 3/8 hat size so I ordered this hat in "L". It was a very snug fit, almost too small. Though I liked this hat's "burnt" coloration. I was disappointed in my choice through no fault of the hat. It is what it is which is very rigid and does not easily allow the wearer to "personalize" the hat to taste as my previous straw hats did. I prefer to add more curl and bend to the brim. The rigidity of the hat does not permit much of that tho' it may do so with time and wear. We'll see. Good quality hat otherwise with good stitching and sweatband.

Love the hat but runs small. I ordered another one. And return was easy. Would have gave 5 stars but return due to sizing. I suggest ordering a size bigger than expected

Very nice made. Wish it would have came in its own box and not just put in a plain box with paper to ship.
