After getting a taped up, returned, resold box first, it arrived really fast, again in no additional packaging. The product is beautiful and we look forward to enjoying them for the rest of our lives. We will saw off about 4” of the block though, because it’s bigger than it needs to be (dwarfs the old set!!). Super sharp, beautiful, self sharpening, super complete set of forged knives, adds to our beautiful new kitchen.

I received a version called Fine Edge with a self-sharpening block. This set is a low-end version, which includes lighter, stamped style knives that are made in China. This set is also available at $99 at Homegoods and similar stores. The pictures shown in product description are for different models (forged and made in Spain) and I can see that some buyers received those sets, which is great. However, in my case, I made my purchase through GAJA Marketplace, and they tried to convince me that these are the manufacturers pictures provided and claimed that I am getting an equivalent set, which is completely bogus. They agreed for the return but asked me to use their return label instead of Amazon's, which is also suspicious. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Sharp is safe and these knives will ALWAYS be sharp with their fantastic self sharpening block. I bought 3 sets of knives in the last 4 weeks and returned them all. I bought this Henkel set and think I am set for life. I don't know what other knives I need. Extremely happy with the quality and I highly recommend this product, especially the name, Henkel.

Finally decided to upgrade. Research pointed to the Henkel International Classics. Found the self sharpening base set and pulled the trigger. Absolutely no regrets. Knives are well balanced. Chefs knife is so nice to use. I am not sure how I cut stuff before. You will not be sorry. Best value

Finally decided to buy quality knives; and a friend recommended the brand. They are pricey, sharp and beautiful. Glad I got them; though, I wish they came at a lower price tag. However, I don’t anticipate buying new knives any time soon. Give them a try!

The knife set is an amazing purchase; all have a smooth motion and hold up well. Handles are well formed and comfortable.

According to info- The steak knives were stamped and made in China, but the others say German steel on the site, but guess what-ALL KNIVES ARE STAMPED CHINA- Not happy with being duped-Might send them back-They were sent in a Henckels box which was torn, ripped. Have a few weeks to make of my mind.

The self-sharpening feature is wonderful. I have never been good at sharpening knives on a regular basis. These knives are comfortable in my hand and make chopping and slicing so much easier than my old set of knives! Worth every penny!
