Cascade Heritage Sock Yarn - Red 5607

I love the Cascade Heritage yarns. First time I've used a solid color (I've always used the prints in this yarn). I wanted the lace pattern in the sock to pop and it sure does. (I'd never done that type of pattern before). The yarn is wonderful to use. Feels good. Isn't too slippery nor too tacky. I was disappointed to find one knot (join) in the yarn but it turned out to occur in a place where it didn't matter nor irritate the foot. Absolutely great yarn!

This is a workhorse brand widely distributed. This lovely skein of deep red anchored a varicolored fingering yarn in a shawl I made for my daughter. Cascade’s yarns are consistent in thickness and tightly spun so I often use them for socks that wear and wear.

Decent yarn in general but not my favorite for socks. It’s a little too soft, too fuzzy, no spring and I couldn’t get the definition I wanted. I’ll save this for a nice winter scarf. The wine color is a beautiful deep red.

I love this yarn. It's the unsung hero of the sock knitting world. It has great yardage for the price, has a good twist and lots of bounce. I've used it for socks, mittens, and I'm planning on making a sweater with it. I buy it again and again.
