Use the timer function!
I didn't even realize the these had a timer function, so like a noob, I was manually turning them off and on ugh! I used them to like up my Harry Potter Lego Castle and the brightness is perfect! Lights are about 2" apart.

Lights that have year round uses
Perfect length for all our uses. Does not require tiny screwdriver to put batteries in and out. Only requires 2 AA and not 3 as do other similar lights. The battery life is surprisingly 2x longer then those similar lights that require 3 AA. Very pleased and found uses for all 6 strings.

These lights are perfect!
I bought these fairy lights for Christmas to accent some decorations. They are really bright, the timer works perfectly (they will blink if you want), and the 10' is perfect for my mantle.

LIGHTS FLASH ON/OFF
NOT what I wanted. These lights flash, which I do not like. I wanted a steady ON string of lights. Yes, the timer functions work great. It's back to the drawing board for me. CAL

Timer does not allow lights to be on/solid, only flashing
I purchased this product specifically to wrap around wreaths and use the timer with steady lights so they’d all look uniform and solid. The description is poorly written, because this option does not exist. The description says “Timer Flashing or Timer On.” In reality, the only timer function is the flashing option, which means the lights are all out of sync with each other and flash on their own time. The on function keeps the product on indefinitely until you manually turn it off or until the battery dies.
